Been thinking of you today and God Bless Lady X’s family must have been hard for them yesterday.

I like the place settings to though I know for some they are too fancy but for such a State ocassion as last night I think they are fitting.

The necklace somehow does look out of place with the outfit which I actually thought was one of the nicest I am not a great fan of the floppy big shoulder types. The one that the speaker wore I thought was very flattering and understated yet elegant. I suppose we all have different tastes but it was the sort of outfit I would feel comfortable in but certainly with different jewelery.

I especially loved this thread, snugs. As someone said, a little civility is indeed a welcome respite. Thank you.

I googled Iraqi Radio Station and AP had a story among others, but the quote from the man and his picture (he was VERY articulate and well dressed) was not...so I didn’t post it.

isn;t it strange that no matter how old we are, there are times when it is nice to cuddle w/mom? I live /caregive mine & although we have our rough times, we are grateful for each day we still share together.
I have experienced quite a few close deaths the past few weeks. It does give one pause & a reality check opportunity. We intellectually know we are mortal but emotionally we often just dont keep it prominent in our minds.
It is so difficult but I try to use the old cloche for my grounding..
Do not curse God or grieve because it has ended/over.... Thank & praise him that it happened.
We are grateful for the life of Katt & the lives she touched so warmly in her sojourn.
I hope your night is gentle & you get some comfort from good memories along the way.
