The President and the First lady spent the weekend in Washington.

On Saturday the President went for a bike ride and encouraged fellow Americans to exercise.

On Sunday he talked about the weekend's devastating storms after attending services at Saint John's Church with the First Lady.

Today he welcomed Queen Elizabeth II to the White House during which they inspected the troops and afterwards the Queen and President Bush went on of her customodary walkabouts and met with local school children and students outside the White House.

This evening the President held a State Dinner at the White House in the Queen's honour. As I am posting there is no photos or guest list on the White House website if this is posted shortly I will will post this on the dose.

I don’t know that I was a good friend to Kat. I just know she meant the world to me. I’ll miss her New York twang and humor and her Fairy Godmother enthusiasm for the troops and those fabulous articles she found and posted in the night.

It was good to have my mother here. She let me hug her and sob.

Kattracks was a great FReeper and she sure did love our troops and I always enjoyed reading what she sent to them.

Another day, another hat and lovely outfit for the Queen..She sure has a lot of stamina.

THAT’s where I remember it from...I’d forgotten. Also, I’m a HUGE fan of chantung silk/duppioni silk, and it looks like that could be the material. It also looks very Armani - clean lines...very classy. I looooove that look.
