In a show of solidarity with families confronted by police during Tuesday's immigrant rally at MacArthur Park, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa told Cinco de Mayo audiences around Los Angeles on Saturday that action would be taken against officers found to have violated the law.

The mayor stepped up to a downtown pulpit Saturday night and vowed, "There will be consequences.

If he would go after criminals with the same gusto there just might not be such a crime problem there.

the LAPD should go on strike and let the ne’er dowells do as they please.

The mayor will change his tune when LA is burning down around his ears.

No he won’t. He and Maxine Waters are the type of people who enable others to go burning down LA while safe and secure behind gated walls in Pacific Palisades, etc.

Families?

Here son, take this rock and throw it at that police officer. Be sure to hit him in the head. That's my boy. As soon as your mother and sister get back with the broken bottles I'm going to tell them how proud I am of you.

You could not pay me enough to be a cop in L.A.

Damned if they do and damned if they don’t. After Rodney King the LAPD took all kinds of heat for not stepping in to stop or minimize the riots.

Now they step in to stop a mob from turning into a riot and they are hung out to dry by their bosses and the media.

Good luck!

Any demand for the prosecution of those who rioted? Who is going to pay for the damage that those “peacefull” illegal aliens caused? How many deportations are there going to be?

I wouldn’t want to be a police officer anywhere. God bless ‘em for doing such a thankless job of trying to keep us safe (and being constantly under attack particularly by ingrates in government).

Antonio Villaraigosa is a political hack who would back up illegal immigrants any day over his own police force. He’s an idiot!

There are now 4 active investigations as the Police Chief trashes his own department to keep the stink off him. The Mexican mayor spent yesterday in Macarthur park promising to keep it safe for the “community”.

This park is a hotbed, the hotbed of drug sales and illegal document sales in all of Los Angeles. The original home of MS13. We (and the LAPD) are being sold out. All that matters is the illegals, everyday it;s the same thing.

Regards

Good. That is the way it's supposed to work. If no charges are filed apologize and congratulations to the officers is in order.

Message to cops: “Do your job, go to jail.”

Message to rioters: “Let the burning and looting begin.”

Results for the city of LA: The Rodney King Riots all over again, times a thousand. All the scumbags are waiting for is the right excuse. It will come when none of these cops is indicted (or, if indicted, acquitted as in 94). When it does, the police will be, shall we say, less than pro-active in putting it down. Then Raigosa and Bratton can yell all they want.
