How does a Democrat win a governorship in Kansas anyway?
You're not in Kansas anymore, Toto.............
People in the western part of the state vote for free handouts.
"The Pew Hispanic Center reports there are more than 10 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. This population is spreading out from the states with traditionally high immigrant populations.
Many Hispanics arrive in places like California, Florida or Texas-but are now moving to Midwestern towns."
We got a demonRAT governor because the Republicans in this state somehow never noticed that tax cuts must either be accompanied by spending cuts (as a means of decreasing the reach of government) or must serve as an economic stimulus. The legislature under the last Republican governor cut taxes at the top of the business cycle, and didn’t cut back the size of the already fairly minimal state government, resulting in a budget crisis during the last recession, and the election of Sibelius as a reaction against the crisis.
Democrats win in Kansas because of three things, Kansas City Kansas, Topeka, and Wichita.
Kansas has strong 3-party system. Republicans, RINOs, and Democrats.
You think US congress RINOs are bad, try having half the party be them.
Kansas governorships usually go Dem, RINO, Dem, etc.
Heck, I’ve been wondering how a dimwitted Democrat became mayor of Salt Lake City, and Utah’s a state that’s at least as red as Kansas.
