Participation at noon : 34,11%, +3 point than the first round.
First estimation at 2.30 pm : Sarkozy ahead of 10%, as predicted.
The rout of the left is going well !!!
Yeah, he was. The Union for a Popular Movement was started off by Chirac. But he is no true conservative. Sarkozy at least is fairly decent.
Sarkozy about to be the elected with the largest number of votes in France’s history.
Sounds like Bush, doesn’t it ?
The conservative revolution has reached France.
Chirac leftlist :))))))
Thank you for the joke and the proof of your lack of competency in International politic.
Chirac and Sarkazy are both from the UMP (rightlist).
onja is right :
Chirac runt with the right party but was a leftist in his way of thinking.
UPDATE : SARKOZY 54.5, ROYAL 45.5
A huge defeat for the left !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¨¨
i am utterly shocked by some of you talking about the 2005 french riots. Medias tell everything they want, and they are the first responsible for these riots. First they overreacted when a few cars were burnt, in very local places. They created a “race for burning”: the more they talked about it, the more the riots were violent. Why all of this ended? I let you guess...
Concerning the elections, we don’t know anything until 8 pm, but as you might guess the candidates know the estimations.
Cool!
Thanks!
Please comment on about the following from thread: “Riot alert for Sarkozy victory” -—
“The correct title should be #The Riot is ON~...I was on my way to the Picasso Museum this morning and ran across two burned out cars, one a VW Beetle and the other a nice Audi. This is close to the section of Paris (Saint Denis) that had the riots last year, so I think the car burners were doing a little practice the night BEFORE the election. It is clear and cool in Paris today, so if there will be riots, the weather will not be a factor. I took pictures of the cars and of an impromptu Royal rally at the Fountaine St Vincent last night “
Yes, Sarkozy may be the winner - technically - but 10% is hardly a mandate. He needs to immediately reach out to the other side, share power, give them at least half of all committee chairmanships, work with them in a bipartisan way because, after all, nearly half of the French people voted against him.
After all, look at how well it worked for President Bush.
Well compared to Commies like Mitterand (may he roast in Hell), Chirac is conservative.
I respectfully disagree. A 10% victory is big by presidential standards. Reagan beat Carter by 10% in 1980 and even the MSM considered it a mandate.
you’re right dfwgator François Mitterand abolished the death penalty. Please watch your words.
Good!
