Kabar, You really really need to stop confusing your opinions for facts. President Bush gives several speeches every week. How many of them have you heard covered by the US "News" Media? How many of them do you hear spun by some Network "Pundit" or covered wholly from the angle of how his political enemies respond OR simply are ignored? How much coverage do you see of the daily White House Press briefs? You need to enter the 21st century. The "News" media you think exists simply died in the 1980s. It has totally given up ANY effort towards objectivity and is now an out right propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. Anyone who compares the raw data off the AP wire with how the SAME story is rewritten and repackaged knows this. Sorry the "News Media" you fantasies exists today died in the 1980s. You need to really quit being so utterly naive. Just because they scream about "Objectivity" doesn't make it so. They are propagandists for a point of view and until the Conservative Movement comes up with a counter propaganda arm to challenge the "News Media" they are going to be on the losing end politically

sleuth
Sleuthie, your diligence is unmatched. You do a wonderful job.
Thank you for the undeserved adulation.
I sure wish somebody would answer my three questions:
1. Who was the first politician, from either party, to announce the formation of an exploratory committee?
2. When (date) did this happen?
3. Got a link?
jeez...I thought those were rhetorical....LOL
I am thinking John Edwards was the first, but I am not sure..and I surely don’t know the date.
I will do some research, now that I know you really want an answer and get back with you.
dang...I didn’t know rewarding your post would make me do WORK...LOL j/k
LOL !!
Sleuthie! How are you? Thank you for all that work.
HI you!!!
It is a labor of love...but, the week got hectic...so, I didn’t post that list like I wanted to...
But, maybe next time! LOL
LOL
Sorry you have to bust your ass :)
I’m hoping to find someone to blame for starting this political shouting match about a year early.
Thanks for the effort.
Thanks for your great summaries of the posts and posters you chose. It is a terrific group that I look forward to reading every Sunday.
I belive it was Senator John McCain. Here is the info I have found
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/06/AR2007020601598.html
Starting as early as last June, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) was hiring staffers and consultants in New Hampshire and Iowa and building the foundation for his 2008 presidential bid at a time when those in early battleground states typically get a breather from national politics.

They msm/dbm don’t want us to have free speech thats for sure, only them.
Thank you for looking that up, Johnnie...I appreciate it a LOT.
Thank you for the high honor, sleuthie ..;) And, thank you, snugs, for your hard work here and everywhere!
The Sunday Talk Show thread is an institution here .. great thinkers, debaters and a whole spectrum of ideas and revelations for consideration. It all goes to importantly broadening and enlarging our political insights (although, the Dims are like 2-page booklets to read .. ;), which is vital, in view of all that’s left uncovered, ignored and obfuscated by the so-called “journalists” of our time.
Phsstpok .. thank you so much for all your diligent and excellent work every week, and thanks to all the SundayTalkers for your contributions.
You are welcome..
I was SO glad to see you post more last week..since you always have good takes on things..and bring good links!!
I don’t know if I will be here much tomorrow..being Mother’s Day...
Do you have some Mother’s Day plans??
Is somebody doing the cooking for you tomorrow? I hope so, and I hope you have a spectacular Mother's Day and with the younguns, too.
WOW..it sounds like you will be tripping the lights fantastic.
I hope you have a WONDERFUL time, my friend.
My kiddos will be going to their “other Mother’s” houses tomorrow...so I will be cooking probably, unless I can talk Mr. Sleuth into getting fast food...LOL
Well, you just “talk” him into it .. LOL .. and have a GRAND day!!
