...the church authorities and the parish priest have decided to be sensitive about their Muslim neighbors. There’s no indication that the Muslims have made any particular demands for the silencing of bells, but the church is doing it anyway.

Rev. 3:15 (NASB) I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.

God: So, your actions merely flowed directly from your wish to be last in line for the head choppers?

Church authorities: You're quite right about that! Verily, Verily.

God: You may go to the last of my line as well.

He should go as often as he needs to in addition to his weekly radio address.

#####

Do you have any knowledge of radio stations that actually play his radio address? I live in the people’s republic of Maryland, so do not know of any stations that carry it.

What exactly is “as often as he needs to” mean? Once a week, his own channel, Larry King, Jon Stewart, Oprah? What?

He has public appearances with press attendance about three times every day. How many of his remarks make it onto the evening news?

We won’t survive the current invasion of immigrants, legal and illegal, who are swamping the world’s lifeboat and the last best hope for Man. We will be destroyed from within, not from the outside.

#####

You sound very similar to the know-nothings of the 1850s. Any particular country’s immigrants scare you more than others?

and, based on your comments, I’d therefore like to thank the100%ers for our current congress that wants to turn our nation over to La Raza and turn us into the nation of Azatlan. We won't be defeated by enemies from without. We will be defeated by enemies from within and their useful idiots. I'll leave you to figure out where I place your opinions.

The "useful idiots" are those who believe amnesty is an acceptable solution to reward those who break our laws. It didn't work in 1986 and won't work in 2007. Yet, that is exactly where we are headed as the Dems try to push throught a "comprehensive immigration" bill this month with the help of the WH.

Those idiots and no one else are responsible for Nazi Pelosi and Dingy Harry Reid as the "leadership" in congress. Don't blame Michael Moore. Don't blame Soros. Blame those who chose to "punish the Republicans" for not being perfect. There is no other conclusion from the last election. Any other argument places you on the side of the enemy, as they argue it was "Iraq" or "the culture of corruption." BS.

You can set up any phony strawman you want. I have always voted a straight GOP ticket, been a Rep poll watcher, contributed time and money to elect Rep candidates, including volunteering my time to Bush's 2nd Inaugural Ball. Bush is not the GOP.

It’s really hard to fight both the loony left and the irrational idiots on the right. But I’ll keep at it and eventually we’ll win, despite all that you can do to make it harder to preserve human civilization.

LOL. And where do you fit on the spectrum, the supercilious middle? Heavy wears the crown.

You do realize that you are helping the mullahs and their allies with your obsessions, don’t you? The control of the border is an absolute. Everything else you cite is crap and easily spun as racist tripe. That doesn't advance the conservative cause. If you think it does then you belong more with Bryd than Reagan.

Now you sound like Karl Rove. It has nothing to do with racism. I bet you didn't read the Huntington article I linked to you. It has everything to do with numbers and the inability to control who comes into our country. I compare what is happening in terms of immigration to the oft-repeated example of boiling a frog who is put in a pot of cold water with the heat slowing being increased until the frog realizes too late that it is being boiled alive. Eventually, the American people will realize what is happening. It will come down to whom do you believe, the political elites' spin or "your own lyin' eyes."

We already take in more legal immigrants than probably the rest of the world combined. We need, as a country, a public policy debate on this issue--a debate not marked by demagoguery and name calling.

Do you have any knowledge of radio stations that actually play his radio address? I live in the people’s republic of Maryland, so do not know of any stations that carry it.

I live in Northern Virginia. WMAL 630 carries it. CSPAN also carries it.

What exactly is “as often as he needs to” mean? Once a week, his own channel, Larry King, Jon Stewart, Oprah? What?

As circumstances demand, he requests time from the networks to address the nation. He can also grant in-depth interviews to folks like Brit Hume. FDR had his fireside chats. As I said, the idea that the President of the United States, the most powerful leader in the world, is at the mercy of the MSM to reach the American people is nonsense.

He has public appearances with press attendance about three times every day. How many of his remarks make it onto the evening news?

WWhat percentage of the American public get their news from the evening TV news? They only have 20 minutes of news per night and much of it that is fluff puncuated by sound bites. The evening news didn't cover Clinton's daily utterances either. Rush's daily audience rivals the evening news on one of the networks.

The GAO Report does not negate the fact that these are all “political” appointees. i.e. “bought and paid for GOVT jobs. These folks are the biggest Union in the Country bar none. One Quarter of the American population is working for the Government! These are all Union jobs with assured Pensions and Medical benefits that the average Voter has no access to. Most of these Teat suckers are “Congressional Staffers”, “State Department personnel” or regular paper pushers with an axe to grind.
You would have to dismiss most of Maryland, Delaware, VA or DC proper to kill this Rat’s Nest of Socialist Pigs.
The truest way to bring prosperity to this country is to get rid of the UNIONS, especially the NEA.

They need the circulation to justify the advertising rates.

Yes, circulation and demographics are the "product" sold to advertisers.

The evening news didn’t cover Clinton’s daily utterances either.

######

You are mistaken. Clinton walked to a lectern in the driveway in front of the Oval Office almost every afternoon to make a statement for that day’s news cycle. Every evening newscast carried his face and words, followed by every ABC or CBS ‘topofthehour’ radio newscast using his voice for the next 24 or 48 hours. I cannot comment on NPR as I did not listen to it. Any listener of AM radio was subjected to hearing Clinton’s voice all day long.

ABC and CBS have strictly controlled how often Americans hear the voice of President Bush since 2001, which is rarely. If anything, we hear Ann Compton or her peers telling us what President Bush has said on a particular topic. As a supporter of him since the 2000 primaries, I was looking forward to him getting the same access as the media had given President Clinton. Silly me!!!

We will agree to disagree.

ABC and CBS are not the only media outlets. Bush's low approval ratings are not a function of his media exposure or inability to get his message out because of a MSM conspiracy to deny him access to the airwaves.

I wonder if you were living in the US during the Clinton years, if you disagree with the amount of daily MSM coverage he was given.

ABC and CBS are not the only media outlets. Bush's low approval ratings are not a function of his media exposure or inability to get his message out because of a MSM conspiracy to deny him access to the airwaves.

ABC and CBS are the contracted news resources for most 'talk' radio stations. So listeners of Rush, Sean, etc heard the Clintonized news broadcast every half hour. Now the same listeners hear the DNC version of White House coverage every half hour. We know that NPR is anti-All Things Conservative. Music stations, ethnic stations, Oprah , comedy, on and on - outlets that are anti-Bush.

Why do you continue to pretend that it is "Bush's Fault™" that Americans have turned against him in such large numbers?

The last several days have been instructive of how the media provides us with one bogus candidate for office after another, thereby effectively disallowing the potential influence the citizens might have on the process.

During the so-called debate, Chris Matthews kept the discussion channeled back to “abortion” so well that the next morning radio news said the debate had been concentrated on the main Republican issues, the war in Iraq and abortion.

During the ABC This Week program that hairball George Stuffapoodleus had a wonderful opportunity to educate the People on the vital issue of immigration/borders, so he chose instead to discuss Tom Tancredo’s ideas about...abortion.

Can’t you see that you are being whipped with the abortion issue? Every time one of the “journalists” asks about abortion, the guest should explain that is not what they have taken time to discuss. If the “journalist” gets snippy, the guest should stand up and walk off, in a big huff. (Principles are refreshing.) When that happens a couple of times, the “journalist’s” producer will see the jig is up and THAT ploy will be dead. It’s just a suggestion.
