Indeed, Clinton never met privately at all with his first CIA Director James Woolsey after the initial job interview. When a plane crashed on the White House lawn in 1994, the joke in Washington was that it was Woolsey trying to get an appointment.

But I won’t buy Tenet saying that he didn’t provide information in daily briefings. If he was holding back information that was either collosal incompetence or willful negligence and in either case led to the deaths of Americans.
The DBM had hoped for so much more from Tenet and his book. I remember a few weeks ago when Andrea Greenspan announced its imminent arrival to Spitboy Matthews... both of them literally delirious with anticipation.
Is there any question that Tenet was in the Wilson/Plame loop?? Wouldn’t be surprised if it was his idea.

Members of the MSM honestly and truly believe that it is their calling to be "gatekeepers" of the news. They discuss this with earnest sincerity from time to time on the talking heads shows.
Compare that to the other alleged concerns of an MSM journalist:
As a reporter, I am:
1) Fair and balanced
2) Honest and truthful
3) The gatekeeper of information

Romney gave such a great answer to that question, it was sincere and believable...in fact, it caused me to take another look at Romney whom I had not seriously considered before.
You give ABDNC-BS far more credit than they deserve. They are not gatekeepers but communist sabatours. They are the last believers in the commie ideal and use the media as their soapbox, megaphone and AK47.

I don’t know if our country can survive another Clinton. I feel like they still have their hooks into too much of our government now.
Tenet was desparate at that time since it was looking like the WMD’s were not there. Didn’t he say it was a slam dunk that they were there?? Perhaps Wilson/Plame was a CYA since their track record was so poor during clinton.
Once Cheney said he never sent Wilson after the NYT article the criminal press took it from there.

Still waiting for one of our “Objective journalists” to ask Mr Tenet to explain how all the information the CIA found to justify for the Democrats, and Clinton, bombing the heck out of Iraq during Impeachment magically became know as suspect the second a Republican took over the White House in 2001.
So Mr Tenet either you were lying in 1998 or you are lying now. Which is it?
