The WH should follow the Fred Thompson strategy and avoid radio, TV and print media designed to put the administration in a bad light. Fred has generated plenty of ink from his appearances in friendly venues including blogs.
Breitbart TV is now up ..a new force. They’ll be competing with Politico and youtube politically, for sure.
If you didn’t see it, they have a great video with Fred after the Pubbie debates and before his Orange County speech. Fred is really really taking the pulse of the country .. he’s everywhere! But, he’s so off the cuff: real.
I LOVE this: “I’m not interested in being the tallest midget in the room, frankly.”

How can Dodd say that?

Thank you!
You did a much better job of getting my point across than I did :)
I would prefer our own government to take a three month summer vacation. Their absence would be in the best interests of the country. Their presence all year round is not doing anyone any favors.
Yeah. All publications that sell advertising are audited by a group called the Audit Bureau of Circulation.
By the way, The Post and all other publications make money from advertising, not circulation.
thanks everyone who make this thread possible.
Off to enjoy a sports day .
God Bless Free Republic, God Bless our ill and suffering and God Bless Jim Robinson............
That was a great piece, although I just got the audio. I really really like Fred Thompson. I could listen to him all day long. His easy, no nonsense style is very reassuring to me.
I agree it would be better to tell the msm to get lost and go a different route. “Fair and balanced” is a joke since it’s all about truth verses lies.
I just want the truth, please!
MTP: one hour of the quisling quivering lying back-stabbing weak and ineffectual George Tenet. Disgusting.
I don’t disagree with you that it should be this way. But, I can conceive of a Clinton White House not doing it that way. I have yet to hear from credible sources that President Clinton was that involved in leadership. Politics, yes, but actual leadership, no.
That’s true, but they still sell subscriptions. They don’t give all those copies away out of the goodness of their heart.
Wasn't that just awful. I keep reminding myself that this fool was the head of the CIA, fgs. No wonder we're in so much trouble.
Breitbart TV’s front page is full of links to other videos and podcasts.

If you like Dennis Miller, his radio shows are archived and streaming ... in full. He’s already on 100 stations .. good show, Dennis!
This is the May 4th show, with Tony Blankley, Alice Cooper, Ron Reagan (UGH!) and actor Bruce Dern.

I couldn't agree more.
But this is like the old gasoline wars. If the competitor across the street (fellow politician) drops his price by 10% (decides to announce almost two years before the election) what are you going to do? If you don't follow his lead (announce way early also) he's gonna eat your lunch (snap up all the best "consultants" and big money donors). So, even though you may not want to, you're forced into at least matching his price.
Every day that Fred Thompson delays his announcement is a blessing in disguise. He's already on the record as saying he's not interested in "big name" consultants. Given his excellent name recognition and ability to connect with his audience I'd say that's brilliant.
Here's three interesting questions:
1. Who was the first politician, from either party, to announce the formation of an exploratory committee?
2. When (date) did this happen?
3. Got a link?
The most recent released WashPost report from ABC is on the page, scroll down to D.C. and click on Washington POst:

The 28% number is really not believable. That would mean that even you and I don’t like GW. That number is so cooked it would make Enron proud.
Pray for W and Our Troops
