I think the President has always been pretty consistent about portraying what we are doing in Iraq or Afghanistan as all part of a worldwide WOT. A big part of the problem is he can never ever get his message out in the MSM. It really is up to us.

Exactly it’s hard to win a WOT with just one bombing raid. Not much of a deterrent.

Kristol is right, the real fight will come after Labor Day when the dems will make their serious attempt to get us to lose in Iraq.

You have to understand, liberals think they are objective. That is what liberalism is, they objectively hate America so they can’t have a bias.

I don’t agree about this being an issue of chain of command. If the Director of the CIA does not have “direct report” relationship with the President then there would not be direct briefings. Yes, its via the NSA, but I can’t conceive of walking into the oval office going over threats and holding back because I haven’t discussed with NSA. That doesn’t make sense.
What is the purpose of the daily morning briefing? To foster direct and open communications. If Tenant thought there were items that required formal NSA oversight/approval/decision then additional joint meetings and/or decision documents could be forwarded.

You notice that none of the positive news out of Baghdad is being reported now and only being shown as bad news. No matter how much progress is made in the future the Stone Age Press will report it as losses. Same formula as Nam.

From contacts I have who left both organizations in the 90s I know this to be the case in both the CIA and Pentagon.

It is amazing that even a few employees loyal to the country could have stayed in their jobs and tolerated what the ‘sensitivity training’ Clinton years put them through.

Tancredo (about Rudi and Edwards): "Who are these people anyway?"
LOL!
Tom's a good guy. I don't see how he gets the nomination but I love this guy for his tenaciousness and no-compromise approach. Him and Duncan and Ron Paul are doing well for us, won't let those others wiggle off the hook.
He was referring to all their flipflopping and contradictory opinions.
Richard Land upcoming on Fox.

I am beginning to think that the NYTimes and the W Post are surviving mainly on the subscriptions that are paid by the taxpayers,ie every library in the country has numerous copies of both of them daily. Every government office gets numerous copies of both daily. Wonder how much the taxpayers are spending each year so the two biggest traitorous publications can undermine our government and spread leftist propaganda? Enquiring minds want to know. I really wonder just how many subscriptions are paid for by the local, state and federal governments. Does anyone know how to find out?
To: bray; All
I sometimes wonder if they actually care one way or the other about the country.
I still see winning as just a pure power play. Libs want power just for the sake of power being in control. It's all they want, nothing more.
Once in control I really don't think there is any agenda, just power itself.
If you had to say what Bubba's agenda was other than enriching himself and chasing skirts what would it be? He was too self absorbed to have any agenda, other than staying in power.
Power is their feed, it is their all.
