Apologies to all concerned - this is a fairly long interview (it clocks in at 12:19) - however, Fred all but tosses his hat into the ring here. I think Our Man is coming out of the gate!

Like I said, it's a 12 minute watch, but Fred said everything but 'I'm in'. The second he does, I'm going to do something I've never even considered doing for anyone else running for elected office - I'm going to hitch my wagon to the nearest Fred Thompson Alabama Campaign headquarters, and volunteer.

Is there some trick to getting Breitbart.tv to work?
I click on it and wait and get nothing.
Thank you.

Reboot and try it again - your browser may be hung. I just went back to the source link, and it's running fine.

"I've never even considered doing for anyone else running for elected office - I'm going to hitch my wagon to the nearest Fred Thompson Alabama Campaign headquarters, and volunteer." I'm the same. I've never volunteered or sent money for any politician running for office in the past. As soon as FRed announces his candidacy, I will do both!

Here, in GA, I’m thinking of volunteering, too. I’ve never participated in any campaigning at the grassroots level. But I truly believe this might not only be a historical run, but it could be very enjoyable, too.

Exactly. I honestly think Fred is our best hope to keep The Republic from getting flushed down the cultural toilet. It's not that I think McCain, Guiliani, or the rest would knowingly sell us out like those self-propelled crapstains of the American National Socialist Party would, but I simply think Fred would be the most steady and effective hand on the tiller, by virtue of his character.

I like Fred Thompson. I would hate for the choice to be between Rudy and the Hildabeast. If that were the choice I would not stay home to pout and punish myself with another Clinton mis-administration, but it would be much better to vote for a real conservative who actually stands a chance of winning. Fred Thompson would be more than a single-issue candidate. He knows a lot about many issues. Not only that, he is articulate about many things. As much as I dislike her, Hillary Clinton is the only Democrat candidate that has something approaching substance (Obama does not have substance, the Breck Guy does not have substance). I think some Republican candidates will self-destruct due in part to their lack of substance, leaving a path to victory for the Hildabeast, and Fred Thompson might be the best chance the Republicans have.
