When I did the advanced Intelligence Officer course in the Navy, one of the instructors delivered a line much like Fred Thompson's famous "Son, the Russians don't take a dump without a plan" line.

So far, he is my guy. He says he is tuned in to the internet; dare we hope he reads FR and gets our feelings for this run? He could be JUST what this country needs. I love how he says he is making an end run around the Beltway people.
Loved how he responded to the question about dirty tricks and the rough side of politics by saying that it is not his first rodeo.
Also liked him saying how he would only get in this if he could win in November. “I have no desire to be the tallest midget in the room” or something like that. LOL.

Thanks. I am enamored of Fred at this point. I did not even know he has a three-year-old daughter. Any photos of him with her? How sweet.
He has son too, somewhere around 8 months old.
