It would be cool to see Prado win back-to-back Derbies, and Scat Daddy does have some good credentials.

Weird that a trainer who hails from Missouri has 2 horses in the race - Darrin Miller. The pink silks.

Those drinks look pretty good. I think it’s time for a beverage and snack break. Happy wagering, everyone!

None of the horse’s names remind me of anything special but I do like the color pink and I love chestnut horses because my own hair color is chestnut. So based on your theory I will go with Sedgefield or Dominican.
lol

Changing my pick from those I emailed a while back. My pick is Storm In May. Breeder is active duty military currently stationed in Korea (wonder if he took leave to come home to see his “baby”). :)

He (Storm) also happens to be blind in his right eye. He’s a big underdog pick, recently got his rear handed to him by Curlin...but I like the underdog picks. However, I am going against my usual standards, picking a Storm Cat horse.

And he’s a a nice shade of grey too!

Thanks for providing your theory on picking horses.
Looking at the horses a little more closely I have settled on Sedgefield. We’ll see how it turns out. ;)

Haven't seen the Queen arrive yet (momentarily) she'll be attending today, I look forward to seeing her hat... Will it be classy and conservative, or will she wear something festive?

Photo from yesterday...

Britain's Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, right, arrive in Lexington, Kentucky Friday May 4, 2007. The Royal couple were met by William Farish, left, the former U.S. ambassador to Britain and his wife Sarah. Famed horse racing track Churchill Downs, accustomed to treating athletes, actors and other celebrities like royalty, was relishing the chance to host Queen Elizabeth II as she attends her first Kentucky Derby Saturday. I pick Scat Daddy. I like scat singing and Prado has really impressed me as a rider.

I can go for that... I have no favorite yet, I just want someone’s dream to come true.

Is there an internet broadcast of the race? I live in the jungle and don’t have TV coverage.

I don’t know. Check up at the top of the page, the kentucky derby site. Maybe they do a live cam.
