It is refreshing listening to a PATRIOT who is interested in the future of America and its REAL citizens, as opposed to frothing socialist liberals who are only concerned with POWER AND CONTROL and do not give a damn about America and its people and preserving our freedoms.

What a HUGE contrast.

Hmmm... still no announcement, I wondered if the Lincoln dinner would be it, but he’s still gathering strength ... don’t let the moment pass, Fred

Fred has my support, my contributions, my vote, and my loyalty. As a Conservative, I’m ready for a strong leader.

Evoking the legacy of Ronald Reagan, potential presidential candidate Fred Thompson told fellow Republicans that smaller government and lower taxes are the way to a prosperous future.

Many conservatives are satisfied with just cutting taxes. That's only half the equation. Limited government means fiscal conservatism and that means tax reform and spending reform. FredT seems to get it. Bush43 and the GOP Congress spent the taxpayers money like big government liberal Republicans. A downside legacy no better then liberal Democrats.

Just when I was starting to think Thompson would be a fine choice, he takes back one of his best and bravest statements from the debate, that employers could fire an employee because he was a flagrant homosexual if they wanted to. So now he is on the side that says the government should force a Christian employer to continue to be represented in his business by a homosexual or face a lawsuit. That’s appalling. Employers can fire people for all sorts of stupid reasons. This one is not so stupid. If the issue is about privacy in your bedroom, KEEP IT THERE.

Fred continues to talk all conservatism.

Our current president who accomplished some good conservative things, also mixed in some liberal things.
