Neither of those examples refutes his claim that he is personally pro-life. If anything, his answers in 1994 were fraudulent, like suggestion that his mother’s views on the subject mattered.
He was clear that his position as a public policy matter have changed, and for those who want a longer time of consistancy he’ll not be judged well for it. But he’s saying the right things now, and I believe him. I find him trustworthy, unlike most politicians.
Could be!
I just took a poll here at FR. I think John McCain did the best job to give himself a shot at winning the nomination by his performance tonight and that he appears to be "youthful" even if I do not agree with all of his issues.
Do you know which candidate said we should err on the side of life, when talking about Terri?
“That was Duncan Hunter.”
Thank you. Hunter is pro-life through and through.
He has publicly said that his friend John McCain being in the race has caused him reluctance to entering.
Somebody’s whacking the results methinks.
People from Wisconsin are hard not to like. And Tommy is a pure-cheesehead. Though, the cheese has been dyed red.
Yes. I just can’t imagine so many people would vote Tommy Thompson the winner of the debate, even though he came across pretty well.
I thought Hunter did great do! I’m not a Romney fan, but I thought he did well. Do you know which candidates were in favor of embroynic stem cell research?
I thought Gilmore did well also. If he can hang in there and get into the top 4 or 5, I think he has the potential to distinguish himself. This format was so asinine that no one could really have a breakout performance.
Yes it was a horrible format primarily because Chrissy Matthews was the moderator and continued the Dem plan to continue to Bash Bush at every turn! THAT is the Dem platform and Chrissy kept stomping it in the minds of the sheeple with his questions. Not one question abouot madam president-in-her-own-mind Pelosi’s treasonous romps around the world conspiring with our enemies.
And Osama, not Obama. I got a chuckle out of that. :)
“Duncan Hunter did great. IMO, as far as conservative substance AND debating skill, he was the winner.”
I was pulling for him, but nobody knows who he is and he has to either 1)get noticed with a one liner that gets press, and or 2)attack a frontrunner in a memorable way (like go after Giuliani on abortion or go after McCain on CFR or pork spending Senate)
ditto that my vote and I did vote on Drudge was for Gilmore. He was solid and conservative and what I love......he took NO GUFF
They will be able to hand over nuke material to the Hezbos.
From what I did see, Romney looked so much more Presidential than the others. He has great stature, and gave clear and concise answers.
The format of 10 candidates in 90 minutes doesn't give much time for detailed responses. Should get better as candidates withdraw. A better moderator and format is needed.
It’s a shame you are so bigoted against well spoken, good looking people. Poor Mitt. I well understand the bigotry he’s had to endure. : )
LOL - actually I caught that one but decided to let it slide......:-)
