...did you see Mitt debate Shannon OBrien? The one in which he vociferously defended his liberal record and practically swore eternal fealty to NARAL?

"I’m sure she’s a fine lady, though." (Mrs Browback BobbleHead).
I'm sure she is. It was just funny. She looked like a Muppet.

The thing about Fred over Mitt is that Mitt comes across as a career polititian, selling snake oil...”step right up, 2 for a dollar, it soothes smoothes, turns a sandwich into a banquet, it will fix your back, fix Iraq..your satisfaction is gauranteed”.
Fred strikes me as a Statesman

I disagree with him on Iraq too. My “refreshing” comment was in regards to his blunt answers about what the role of government should or shouldn’t be. If he wasn’t so extreme then he’d probably have a decent chance.

I can’t vote for the guy, but I can’t miss his performance in this debate as the leading one. I did think Tancredo came across pretty well, and I found Thompson surprisingly persuasive for a guy I don’t find all that conservative. If I had to choose a pragmatist, good government ‘conservative,’ out of the left wing of the ten up there, from tonight’s bunch, he’d be my pick.

He has a bad record of granting parole and communting sentences if the criminal claims they have been saved I'm aware that a governor has the powers to grant clemency and pardons, but it was my understanding that parole decisions were handled by the Arkansas Board of Parole, not the governor. Whom did Huckabee grant parole to?

Paul believes perjury is a crime whether it was by Bill Clinton or Scooter Libby. What is wrong with that postiion? BTW, no “underlying crime” existed in either case.

“Can anyone explain the voting so far on Drudge?”
Yeah the Dems are clicking Rudy. Hillary would LOVE to go against Rudy, knowing prolifers would split the vote and go third party or not vote at all.

I watched from beginning to end and, for me, the field of current candidates has been narrowed to two. They are in no particular order:
Mitt Romney
Mike Huckabee
Sam Brownback lost out on the tax issue.
