There were 91 cases of tuberculosis reported to the Metropolitan Health District in 2006 and 74 in 2005.

MIAMI — An ex-convict who attended a Sunrise mosque with terror suspects Jose Padilla and Adham Amin Hassoun said Thursday he contacted the FBI from a Georgia prison in 2002, hoping to provide information in exchange for his freedom.

A Joint Terrorism Task Force is assisting state and city police in the investigation, Mungo said. If the caller is caught, he faces felony charges of threat to use a weapon of mass destruction and threat to use weapons of mass destruction.
“This is a serious incident,” Mungo said.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “A criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court Thursday said Ayala-Cornejo, 24, was born in Mexico and is not a U.S. citizen but his cousin was.
The complaint quotes a brother of the deceased as saying the real Jose Morales died of cancer in Mexico in 1989 or 1990. The brother also is quoted as saying his father offered to give his dead son’s identity to Ayala-Cornejo, along with paperwork to back it up.
Ayala-Cornejo was charged with falsely representing himself as U.S. citizen, carrying up to three years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Aaron Goodstein ordered him held in custody until a detention hearing Monday.
Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm said state prosecutors were reviewing the case for possible charges.
The federal complaint said agents learned of the case from an anonymous telephone tip Feb. 20.
Ayala-Cornejo has a brother on the Milwaukee police force who is a U.S. citizen, the complaint said.”
