AAAAANND WE’RE OFF TO SAVE THE WORLD!
Good afternoon Sage, all Elderados, & those that should be!
Which stars are out there marching with the illegals? (Hey, that could be a new show...”Marching with Illegals”....it could work)
The Hispanics in my company came to work today, unlike last year. I lost a bet with a new guy that they wouldn’t. Oops. There goes $10.00. I had pledged to buy pizza for the company because I didn’t think that so many would show. Double oops. Guess who was the first ones in line for the freebies. And guess who came to say “thank you”.
Those kids that walked out should get an “F” for the day, and detention.
Larry always has a good show.
Downtown prepares for May Day gridlock
"The emphasis is to stay in school, get your education and participate in any demonstration you want to after school," said Dan Isaacs, Los Angeles Unified School District chief operating officer. "To the degree that we can cause students to remain on campus and discuss the issues, that's our primary goal."
But if students walk out, school officials plan to march with them walkie-talkies and cellphones in hand to help protect them. In addition, buses will be on call to take students back to their respective schools after the march is over, officials said.
"We honor their 1st Amendment rights, even though that gets in the way of their schooling," said Richard Chavez, a high school director for local District 5, which encompasses much of East Los Angeles. "This is a lesson on civics."
Silly parents! When their kiddies go off the grounds the school looses funds! So don’t complain when there isn’t this or that. Maybe your home country has more. Please take a long fact finding tour.
As for gridlock... my car is equipped with bumper, too bad I have morals. funny that they are carrying American flags. When I protested illegals in downtown LA, they were stomping our flag into the ground while wrapped in the Mexican flag! No arrests were made.
No buses for students who walk out! Since they walked out, they can walk back!
What happened to all the suspensions they promised to hand out?
Maybe the walking will help their lack of PE.
Gotta love the nice guy who said that he was trying to do things right, but doesn’t have a license to his contracting/construction business. He thinks we should give illegals a pass if they are trying to do things right. Uh huh. If you don’t respect the country enough to sneak in, then....
Sure wish Larry wounldn’t say “buenos tardes”, especially today. I’ve got a new one “haku”. It is Chumash for hello.
“Maybe the walking will help their lack of PE.”
Think how much better it is if they walk BACK to school! But no credit!
There is a school here in Los Angeles that couldn’t provide a bus for their band for the cross town competition, so the parents had to pay for a bus! Wrong, wrong, wrong!!!!! I’d send LAUSD the bill.
The sound clips are amazing. The lady saying that they are telling President Bush that they want to be free. She sounds like she’s trying to pass a stone, or something. Then there is the guy who says they are demanding to be legal. I say, “Get back home and apply.” And the reporter that keeps calling them “undocumented”. They are ILLEGAL! Report it as it is, don’t try to sugar coat it!
Talking about healthcare, a friend of mine had to wait over 12 HOURS at Olive View! When they picked him up off the floor with his blanket and pillow, he had a 106 degree fever! The medicine cost over $200.00!
