What part of town is this place? On the wrong side of the tracks? Upper middle class for the most part.

***Assault rifle large magazine. Lots of glass broken. People injured. 2 dead. police/guard Shot suspect-alive currently.***
Now, wait a minute. One of our illustrious “congress persons”, not long back, said the AK-47 is a rifle THAT NEVER MISSES!
So where are the dead stacked up like cordwood?

“... purchased 20 rounds of ammunition through the online auction site eBay”
THIS IS A BIG FAT LIE!! YOU CANNOT PURCHASE AMMO ON EBAY - what Cho bought were AMMO CLIPS - they are not filled with ammo - they are empty - you have to put your own bullets in the clips.
PLEASE STOP SPREADING THIS FALSEHOOD!

Missouri has concealed carry but in addition to the places where it's forbidden businesses can refuse to allow weapons on their premises. Most malls don't allow it. I don't understand the purpose of a concealed carry permit if businesses have signs to keep guns out. To me, the safest person with a gun is the one with the concealed carry permit, they have to go through training, background checks and have to qualify with their guns. These are the people I'd love to have around for just this very purpose (crazed shooters).

Shotgun?
Even our small town local cops have ARs nowadays.

If you live near an
Aldi's, give their Northstar brand a try. It's inexpensive, but for a cheap beer, very good. I buy it if I have one or more 'beer sink' friends coming over or plan to cook with it. Northstar is nowhere near what I normally drink, but it's a quarter of the price and has maintained my reputation as a beer snob. I like it and they think they are drinking "the good stuff'.

I don't understand the purpose of a concealed carry permit if businesses have signs to keep guns out. If the State says I can legally carry there I do. The only time I don't is if there is metal detectors or searches at the door. I don't care what the sign on the door says, half the time I don't even pay attention if it says "pull" or "push".

An AK-47 is a cheaply built inexpensive firearm. They are not accurate by any definition that hunters or shooters use. AK’s function well but the insides look like they were finished with a course bastard file. The tool and file marks are deep and ugly. There are a lot of AK’s in the world because they are cheap to buy and the Russians and Chinese make and sell them by the boatload. There are very few AK-47’s in the US. An AK-47 is a selective fire full-anto and semi-auto weapon. I would bet that this is not an AK but is one of the semi-auto only clones that are sold legally here at home. My first guess would be an SKS semi-auto rifle.
Instead of publishing propaganda for the anti-gun Democratic socialists I believe that the media should actually be held to the point of TELLING THE TRUTH AND BEING HONEST!!!!!!

I don't understand the purpose of a concealed carry permit if businesses have signs to keep guns out. I agree. Either you allow it or you don't. Missouri forbids carrying in bars, schools, casinos, sporting events, hosptials, day care centers, polling places, amusement parks, churches, police stations, airports, court houses, and public government meetings. I don't think any of those should be banned. If you're responsible enough to be trusted with a CCW permit then you shouldn't be considered a threat regardless of where you want to carry. By placing all those restrictions the government is saying that they trust you to carry a weapon...just not around them.

That was the point I made right here on FR the day ABC news published this story. It is also why I clearly stated that ABC changed their story after eBay got into the matter and set them right.
Before you attack people you really need to read the posts and do your homework.
And I thought only Democratic Socialists went off half cocked without pertinent knowledge. Live and learn!!!!
