Citizens Against Eminent Domain Abuse are showcasing candidates who have the best positions on the proper use of eminent domain to seize land.
CAEDA cites incumbent commissioner Steve Chronister and candidate Chuck Richards among the Republican candidates. Democrat Ned Grove is also mentioned as a supporter of the proper use of eminent domain.
The citizens group opposing eminent domain abuse.... will hold a meeting in Hanover next Monday April 30th. The meeting at 7PM will be held at Bill Bateman's Bistro at 1418 Baltimore Street.

CENTRAL DELAYS CONTROVERSIAL TEACHER CONTRACT AND MAKES OTHER MOVES AHEAD OF TAX INCREASE VOTE......
In early March, the Central York School Board voted to accept a fact-finders report that would give the district's teachers a four-year contract with average pay hikes of 5.38 percent.
The move drew criticism including mention in a newspaper editorial. Now, the word is that final wording of an agreement is delaying approval of a new teacher contract.
A more plausible explanation is that approval of the contract close to the day of the income tax referendum on May 15th could hurt its chances of passage.
Meanwhile, a hearing scheduled for last week (April 18th) on expansion of the new high school was rescheduled to next Wednesday, May 2nd.....
Along with the rescheduling came an announcement that the expansion would not exceed a cost of 19.5 million dollars. The original plan for the new pool and classrooms, along with other additions was 17 million dollars, then it jumped to 20.6 million dollars....
The gimmicks with big spending issues being tamped down and promotion of the new tax are underway.....
