Yep. Thats what Jim said. But why do we need a new thread? Because the other thread degenerated into a multi-faceted tantrum with all sides throwing food?

That list is a disaster. I see some major losses there.

But then put in place a no Bush bashing policy and praised Bush to the high heavens. Categorically untrue.

Some will be back, perhaps under a new handle.

I agree he is a failure. nearly a complete and total failure. But it went past supporting a republican president and became a purge of those who disagreed with Bush.
I will be going nowhere. I am a conservative, and greatly appreciate everything Jim has done for us here.

Your link to banned freepers doesn’t seem to work anymore.
Rudy may not be a conservative, but W isn’t really one either, when it comes down to the basics. At least the way I see the basics.

How quickly people forget that. Down the memory hole, I guess.

I think more left of their own accord than were banned.

“Actually, Rudys supporters just need stop lying “
All they have is lies. Rooty is a liberal puke and they know it.
They have to lie to say they themselves are conservative because no conservative could ever support Rooty.

JR was dead set against W, as was I. In the event, it turned that Mr. Bush was our war leader, like it or not. If I've seen events clearly (sometimes a dubious proposition), JR banned those who were attacking W on a personal basis, not those who disagreed with his policies.
If JR banned everyone who disagreed with W's policies, I would have been gone long ago.

Several of the recently banned were given the axe for denigrating Reagan.

Partly. There’s much more. I’m up to my neck in alligators at the moment, but as soon as I beat them down a bit, I’ll come back and post my comments.
To: batter
Thanks for the update on this.
As far as I’m concerned, this is Jim’s living room and he is entitled to set the parameters of what is “politically correct” in terms of discussion.
I’ve avoided the politician threads anyway because they are so angry. In defense of those who spoke themselves into oblivion — I think we are all passionate to win this next one and tempers can get out of hand. Perhaps they’ll be given another chance, once they cool off and respect the wishes of our host.
To: batter
Helpful. I was resisting the orginal thread, but yet curiously tempted by it’s enduring presence. You have relieved me of my burden.

Hmmm. Maybe I was mistaken, but I would have to look thru the old threads.

That list is a disaster. I see some major losses there. I could have sworn that at least one person on that thread was posting this AM.
Yea, there are some big losses on that list.
To: CharacterCounts
I avoided that thread like it was Typhoid Mary.
