Against an elegant backdrop of political cocktail partying, singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow and top presidential adviser Karl Rove got into a heated exchange over global warming at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.
Crow recently joined forces with Hollywood activist Laurie David in the “Stop Global Warming College Tour,” which pretty much is what it says. The duo was seen in a heated conversation with Rove, in an incident which quickly became the evening’s centerpiece of discussion.
An eye-witness recounted what they saw: “Sheryl and Karl Rove were talking. Karl looked annoyed and she was poking him [angrily]. He started to leave and she pulled on his sleeve and pulled him back. Rove tried to walk away.”
Crow recounted her conversation with Rove to our observer, saying, “I went to talk to him about the global warming project, and he said, ‘You should look at what the Administration is doing.’ I said ‘What IS the administration doing?’ And he said, ‘I don't need to be confronted like this.’ I said ‘you work for me,’ and he said ‘I don’t work for you, I work for the American people.’ “I said I am ‘American people!’”
Eventually the exchange ended, but clearly not amicably. A visibly stricken Crow told our eyewitness: “I’m still shaking about it. I’m not a scientist but I know a little about global warming. I couldn’t believe how combative and rude he was.”
But another witness came to Rove’s defense: “Laurie David was in his face, being very aggressive, (which was) really inappropriate for the setting. She was intentionally picking a fight so that she could get it written about. Crow came over, she was less aggressive, a little sheepish. Then David walked away. Then Crow left,” reported our source, who claimed to have no reason to side with Rove on the controversy, but considered what the women did to be, “so wrong.”
Word of the exchange spread quickly. “Hey, go ask Karl about global warming” became the mantra of the night.
But while Rove sat at his table and finished his dinner, Crow returned to her table, but then presumably disappeared. She was overheard saying that she felt uncomfortable about the whole incident and was considering leaving the dinner altogether because of how much of a ruckus it caused.
David, we were told, immediately returned to her table and was seen blogging about the incident. Now that’s dedication.
She’s poking him “angrily” and grabbing his shirt, and HE’S being “combative and rude”? Typical liberal projection.
Hard to believe that Lance Armstrong left his wife for that face.

Heh “crowe” about this. I went back to my old CD’s and pulled her only CD I had. I tried to wrap it in a single sheet of t.p. and flush it away.
Don’t hold your breath. When the administration allows the war on terror to be hijacked and lost due to an unwillingness to fight back, global warming won’t grow them any balls.
If they get really, really mad maybe they’ll say “can’t we all get along, please” real loud.

When you invite pigs, you have to expect animal behavior. Perhaps the President should invite good honest US Citizens isntead of hollywood Rupublic hating scum.

If I ever meet Cheryl Crow, I’ll tell her: “Don’t you DARE preach to me about global warming until you reduce your annual energy consumption to - say - five times what I consume.” As things stand, I’d say a globe-trotting, jet-setting, electric-guitar playing, mansion-living, limo-driving rock star like her consumes 20 times the energy I consume. At least. And the same goes for Al Gore, John Kerry, John Edwards and all those other phonies.
That's OK, because she buys indulgences from AlGore's Holy Church of Gaia.
That said, one wonders why a liberal-- being rude, angry, mean or attacking someone for the cameras-- in their mind equals some sort of superiority.
To the rest of us, it looks like they're a bully, or the sort who lacks confidence in their argument and is thus unable to have a rational discussion about it
Our directive to Karl is to continue to be the Deputy Chief of Staff to President George W. Bush.
I confess I like one or two SC songs, but she comes across very much like trailer trash. If anyone ever does a movie about trailer trash, she’d be a good choice for the lead.

What a flaming bitch. Ole Lance Armstrong hung out with this bitch. People were wanting ole Lance to run for governor and he said he would lose half of his fans and people giving to cancer if he picked a party. Hanging out with this bitch and the Robin Williams’ and John F’ning Kerry’s of the world, I think ole Lance would have run as a Marxist’s dimocrat if he had chosen a party to run with. His “gang” seems to all be those types.
He didn’t leave his wife for Crowe. He was already divorced when he struck up with her. He was with that other Hollyweird actress before Crowe.
Laurie David is the Joeph Goebbels of the global warming movement.
