2 More State Troopers Shot; Suspect Surrounded

Margaretville, Delaware County (WSYR-TV/AP) – Two more State Troopers were shot in Delaware Co. Wednesday morning as police closed in on Travis D. Trim, 23. He’s believed to have shot a state trooper Tuesday afternoon during a traffic stop.
We're told one trooper was shot in the head, the other in the hand. A state police spokesman said that the two troopers were flown by helicopter to a hospital and the extent of their injuries was not immediately clear.

I know some troopers and am related to one through marriage and have a great deal of respect for them.

Police said Trim is 6'1", 170 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a torn red flannel shirt, jeans and had a hooded sweat shirt and an eyebrow ring, troopers said. Eyebrow ring, torn clothes, weighs nothing . . . methhead, anyone?
He won't be missed.

Just heard on WGY that 2 Troopers are at Albany Med fighting for their lives. Lots of vacant summer camps in the area for this guy to hide out in.
News just said they had him surrounded and shots have been fired. He’s toast.

This is about the original trooper.
The confrontation came as police activity intensified Wednesday morning during the manhunt for a suspect in the shooting of Trooper Matthew Gombosi, who was shot in the torso in Margaretville on the edge of Catskill Park at about 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. He was saved from serious injury by his body armor, police said.And bad news. The trooper shot in the head this morning has died.
