OOPSIE!!!
"We’re concerned with getting these guns off the street," Gwyn said. "We have a lot of folks working on it right now."

And we’re supposed to forfeit our right to bear arms to people like these brain stems?

The SWAT Team must have slept through the seminar at the training in Little Rock called:
“How to Lock the Doors on Your Van”

What—the SWAT vehicle doesn’t have an audible alarm?
Yeah, now here’s a group I want responding to a 911 call.
They’ll pull up, open the doors while chanting “hut, hut, hut, hut” and yikes! No weapons!
The only thing that could be worse in this story is if the cops were sitting at a donut shop.

SWAT teams use machine guns? They are trained professionals. They can be trusted with selective fire assault riflers, classified as "machine guns" under the NFA act of 1934.

Our local PD has M-16 rifles in the cars. The government gave them a good deal. I didn't ask whether they were full auto or 3 round burst. The SWAT guys prefer the short MP4 for close quarters entries.

Whatthe SWAT vehicle doesnt have an audible alarm? Duh. I understand they think people won't mess with a "police car" but for 1% of the cost of those weapons, they could have installed an alarm system in the vehicle that carries them.
Any John Q. Citizen that had weapons like this stolen from his vehicle would be going through an intensive proctololgy exam by the ATF right about now.

With all of the sundry 'bashings' that have no other purpose but to rend the fabric of America ... I
really want this story to be false.
Yes, I know, some cops shouldn't be ... but to have such a stupid thing to happen to not one, but two or more SWAT members is just surreal.
