The anti-gun people think it much better that the target of the attack should have been shot than that he should shoot his attacker. The Liberal theory is that the rational man's use of force to thwart his own murder is a rational action and therefore unjustified violence because he was able to think about it and consider the action. The criminal is "sick" or "maladjusted," had a bad childhood, or comes from a culture where violence is the norm so his murdering of someone else is not a rational action and is therefore excusable though he may well need some sort of therapy.

It sounds like bitter exaggeration but I have listened to these same arguments more than once from a UF professor who is not one of the more radical folks at that institution.

Yeah, I know...

It’s just that some things are so incredulous, I have to type them out to believe that that’s what they actually want.

Of course the same type of people who think that way also think we shouldn’t be fighting terrorists.

Yep, the whole “he should have known better” thing, versus the “poor yoot.”

"So it's better that the gun toting 15 year old thug be alive, and the innocent civilian be dead?

"They let that man run out freely," Foster said. "My cousin is dead."

It would have been interesting to have the reporter ask this young lady exactly what she thinks her cousin was doing on someone else's porch pointing a gun at the resident.

Sadly, this is the culture in some areas and is accepted. You have to do something that proves to everyone that you (and your family) are not to be "messed with".

But I do have to wonder at what's been included in this article, and at what's possibly been excluded.

Gene pool just got a little shallower.

Anyways, the reason the State is upset is that this ‘youth’ could of gone on to a long life of crime, rapes, welfare children by single moms and prison. All that would of put money into state workers pay. These ‘youths’ are young crop that need to be allowed to flourish so that the State/welfare industry can continue to prosper. There is money in crime and degeneration. Not for the criminals, but for those that ‘service’ them. The State, the union state workers should sue for thieft.

His cousin, Tameka Foster, 21, questioned why police did not punish Buford's shooter.

"They let that man run out freely," Foster said. "My cousin is dead."

Because, Tameka, your cousin was a worthless waste of skin who thought to rob, and possibly kill, a man who had done nothing to him. Good riddance to your cousin.

A future wannabe thug/killer is dead and will not cause suffering in the future?

Drown them while they are puppies before they grow up to be big dogs with teeth.

Best regards,

May you stand before God and man as my two precious grandchildren's killer if you pass any more gun legislation that will make me a felon should I own a handgun or any other gun for that matter.

Sincerely,

Mary Carpenter

Make that read “if the police had not been armed”. Long as an innocent is dead they’ll be happy.

Perfect example of the “carry law” working.

Does Ohio have a “Stand your ground” type law as well?

The 15 year old piece of filth would still be alive if HE had not been armed. Never mind the guy who killed him in self defense.

Give the armed citizen a medal. He saved society from what probably would have been countless acts of crime in the future. Perhaps the dead kid’s accomplice will think before engaging in crime now too.

I didn’t read anything about race here so I am assuming the shooter was not white. Otherwise I suppose there would have been riots by now.

But I hope the police give him his pistol back soon. He'll probably need it to protect himself from some of the "angry youths" who were memorializing the violent predator.

This is why you should always keep a backup weapon. Hopefully, Mr Wells has one so as to be prepared.

Good to see he won the “fast-draw” against that young punk. Fast draw shootouts have been a part of American History for as long as there have been guns.

The duel took place, they young thug lost, end of story. The only difference is in the old days the old guy would not have to surrender his gun.

Singing: Mama, take this gun away from me..... I can’t use it anymore. Knock, knock, knocking on heavens door.

“Toby Hoover, of the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence, said she had not heard of any other fatal shooting involving a concealed-carry permit holder.”

“This is one of the few where they actually used it to stop a crime,” Hoover said.”

This woman needs some education.

Opponents said it took Buford's - that the 15-year-old might be alive if a citizen had not been armed.

And then the unarmed citizen would be dead if you follow this line of reasoning, which must be O.K. to these morons. At least the thug would be alive....

Some people are just retards.

Please do not insult the mentally disabled in that fashion. Most retards understand that if you point a gun at someone, you may get shot. Tameka is not an idiot, but if she studies really hard, she may make it yet.
