There are going to be bombings in Iraq for the next 20 years. Just like Israel, Jordon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt etc. There will never be a complete elimination.

Yep, the Clintonistas couldn’t wait to post on it re: Kristol.

I would have no problem with Orrin Hatch...but, would another (R) take his place in the Senate...and why would Orrin give up his Senate seat for a 2 year job?
stayed up too late and awoke too late but read the thread and watched some talk tripe. I’ve decided that if there was no Freeper thread I would REFUSE to watch these professional liars and tax thiefs
Interesting...the second comment is saying it is WORSE to call the nation segregated...than to say the nation has lost a major war.
hmmmmmmm
So you saw this on Gateway as well; Nancy should be asked about this.
Dem’s New Buddies Call for Killing Americans
W Zip reports...
The Muslim Brotherhood calls for attacks in Palestine, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Democrats are still seeking a few moderates among the terrorists.

Right...a proponent of the theory that disaster should be allowed to come as a complete surprise. Some businessmen subscribed to that theory - but unfortunately they all went bankrupt. Wasn't the MSM criticizing Rumsfeld on the basis of not doing proper planning for the invasion's aftermath?
Those are good questions, sleuth.
The Governor in Utah is a pubbie, so he’s not going to appoint a dem.
I don’t know if Hatch is one of those who believes it is right that his Senate seat be a job for life. Maybe he is.
There are other questions too, like how vigorous would he be if taking action impinged on the interests of any of his “dear friends” in the senate from either side?
And of course Lott’s comment never referred to segregation at all. They had to add assumptions and conclusions to get there.
Exactly...but, since they can’t say for SURE that all hell won’t break lose, that millions will be slaughtered over there, and the terrorists will then feel free to attack freely over here...
It is best to discount that aspect of “the plan”, as inconsequential.
And coincidentally Friedman’s business is going Bankrupt too??
Course his philosophy went Bankrupt with the falling of the wall. Truth stranger than fiction.

Says the AG should not be there. Gossip says that many in the WH are telling the Prez the AG should go. He tries to avoid the question whether Schmuckie will hold up any confirmation of a new AG over a demand for Rove testimony. He names Comey as someone who could get through easily. Comey named Fitzfong as Special Counsel.
How truly Orwellian. Schumer ran a criminal identity theft operation out of the Dhimmicrat Senatorial Campaign Committee and when they got caught committing a felony by breaking into records of political opponents it got swept under the rug as "no big deal." Now this same thug is trying to say that PERFECTLY LEGAL ACTIONS BY THE ELECTED EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF GOVERMENT are some sort of "caper" that people should go to jail for.
It's as bizarre as anything Lewis Carroll ever wrote, but clearly lacks the charm and insight into human nature.
We may be being dragged to a Jeffersonian liberty tree watering moment, albeit kicking and screaming.
There you go...that is something we would probably never know...how many chits might be used.
Also..not that it makes much difference, considering Gonzo’s attitude, but I do believe that Orrin was a co-sponsor of the “Dream Act”..which is giving illegals in-state tuition to our colleges.
Therefore, he may not be really hardnosed about illegal immigration..which would probably put him in good stead with the POTUS and the dems in the Senate.
Hatch would cause a problem for dems . If Gonzo stepped down (he will not) and Hatch took the reins, that takes a kicking sign off Mitt Romney as being Morman,If it is ok for Orrin, why attack Mitt for being morman........
Yes. Pretty much the only thing to recommend him is his "confirmability."
Did you see these?

I was also hoping we would find out who’s blocking legislation on earmark transparency.

OT: I found it very disappointing that David Gregory made the comment on MTP...that Pres. Bush gave a very detailed explanation of what is going on in Iraq, with slides, pictures...
And that it was something he had not done, but is planning to do more of.
My disappointment: MSNBC did NOT show the speech, so how are we to KNOW...and after he said all of that..he said “to little, to late:”...UGH.
Ron Wyden saying incredibly stupid and naive things on Woofie’s show, but he’s saying them very earnestly.
Good point
