Interesting...the second comment is saying it is WORSE to call the nation segregated...than to say the nation has lost a major war.

And of course Lott’s comment never referred to segregation at all. They had to add assumptions and conclusions to get there.

Segregation was inferred by dems looking to get rid of him. I think it was all of his groveling apologies that finally did him in, kind of like Imus.
