I shut up some gun grabbing lib the other day by sarcastically suggesting a compromise where African-Americans would be banned from owning firearms. A good deal of early gun control was specifically aimed at disarming blacks in the south post reconstruction. Just as the Sullivan Act in NYC was partially a response to Jewish and Italian gangs moving on Irish gang turf.

Wow! Thank you, XR7! I swiped this whole post and pasted it into my blog for today. Bless you!

Well, Oregon is the home of all the ‘right-living’ ‘right-loving’ give-everybody-a-hug-crowd. Anyone happen to know if their crime rate is zero?

"Its amusing that the mainstream opinion is that arming students is a such an insane idea, yet when my older relatives were growing up, they used to take their rifles to school and keep them in their lockers so they could go target shooting/hunting after class. Yet no one shot 30 people. Guns were much present in every day American life in the old days, but mass random shootings are a recent phenoma, beginning with the wide media coverage of Charles Whitman."Sounds like you grew up near where we did. Gun Club in High School was very popular. I challenge any Leftist gun-grabber to go to Utah and tell the people there they can't own firearms...

I really don’t think we should get worked up about this kind of stuff. Electorally speaking, gun control is a dead issue. If you put on your waders and head to DU, you’ll find that even a large segment of the moonbat population is pro-2nd Amendment. If the Dems decide to run with this stuff it will only hurt them, i.e. help us.

Here's another cartoon. Notice that those protecting the security of a free state, is depicted as a bunch of suspender wearing oafs showing crack. The militia is Lee H Oswald. The people are a punk with a sub gun, and "shall not be infringed", is being announced by a paranoid schizophrenic. I have no idea what you're talking about, I see a marine, a college student and other Americans. Are you ashamed of the NRA or merely irrational?

My comment to the leftists:
Democrats ideal constituents: uneducated, UNARMED, peasants.
Your political cartoon today that trampled all over the constitution was disgusting. But what can you expect from a liberal rag such as your paper.

This piece of spue was reprinted in our local Arkansas Dem-Gazette today. They are usually pro-gun or neutral.
The old Arkansas Gazette(ND) was as leftist liberal anti-gun as you could get.

Here is my contribution to the letters section:
Your piece of filth disguised as a political cartoon makes a point, but obviously not the one you intended. All of the people pictured were criminals, and criminals by their nature don't obey laws. All people with the mindset of your cartoonist do is make their jobs easier. Remember, VT and Columbine were both "gun-free zones," for whatever that was worth. Cartoons like this do serve a useful purpose -- they hasten your downward spiral into irellevancy. So keep up the good work, I look forward to reading about your next round of layoffs.

Your take on this cartoon is dead on.
Your take on yesterday's cartoon was ludicrous.

It’s a rare day that I get offended by a political cartoon.
This is one of those very rare days. Unbelievable.

Editorial Cartoonist Jack Ohman's picture looks like a weenie, and a hoplophobe. Nah, he can't be queer too...
Sorry, bad first impression.
