Of course, the family will carry this for life, especially the parents. I have felt very sorry for them from the outset. They need our prayers.

The sister is to be commended for her very thoughtful and sensitive statement.

Lots of pride in these cultures. Come to a new country. Work hard, try to fit in and succeed. Then one of them dishonors the family and ancestors. Worse, dishonors the whole race in Asian eyes.... Koreans are already considered (in Asia) inferior (by and) to the Japanese and the Chinese. I've heard them described by other Asians as "the [N-word] of Asia" only half-jokingly.
I can hear the jokes now whenever a Korean gets angry: Now, now, don't go Korean on us.....

Are you clairvoyent? There’s no clue that they’re going to do that. Until then, keep your asinine comments to yourself.

My heart is breaking for cho's family, who will live out the rest of their lives with nothing but misery, pain and shame. I pray the public will show them Mercy and kindness.
Oh merciful God, bring them peace..

Yes, my heart goes out to the family. Koreans are very sweet people, and the ones I know try so hard to please. How sad that these must suffer so. May God somehow give them His peace.

What an asinine statement. They just lost their child/sibling in a horrific manner. Now I remember why I quit posting here. :shakes head:

I have been thinking of them a lot. And one of the victims fathers was on TV forgiving Cho and expressing concern for his family. It was very touching.
Prayers lifted for this grieving family.

Her comments showed a lot of class in the midst of what is a horrendous tragedy for the family.
Prayers for all.

Give them a couple a months and they will get a lawyer to sue the gun manufacturers. Hey, newb, your stay around here might be short-lived if you continue making stupid posts like that one.

She works as a contractor for a State Department office that oversees billions of dollars in American aid for Iraq. Why would the journalist include this statement...billions of dollars...why is that relevant info?To prove that this family is doubly evil. First the brother. Then the sister is helping Bush's evil scheme in Iraq.

Im glad to see that Asians fearing a backlash are unfounded. Most people know that they are hard working, honest, and patriotic.

Koreans are already considered (in Asia) inferior (by and) to the Japanese and the Chinese. I've heard them described by other Asians as "the [N-word] of Asia" only half-jokingly. I guess.
Then again, the Chinese (many of them) have no love for the Japanese.
Koreans have no love for Japanese or Chinese and think of them both as the [N-word] of Asia believe it or not.
I guess thatd be the older generations though
I havent been to Korea since 1979 and most people in my age group (at the time) thought that way.
Youngsters nowadays probably dont. I wouldnt know
Koreans can hold their own regardless, IMO.

I can understand your frustration. But just think, for the most part, FR is nowhere as bad as the comments on YouTube, DailyKos, or DU.
