I couldn’t agree more... D.C. et. al. could care less about us or our pets, as long as they do their international $$$ deals and lord their power over us.
Oh, they’ll make noise over this flap but I think it’s all phony baloney. Lord only knows what else the Chinese are lacing OUR food ingredients with!
In central and eastern Oregon I have heard of people releasing their horses into the wild because they could not afford to feed them (hay prices shot up in response to the grain feeds). I’ve seen some really thin beef this spring, bordering on starvation.
Grain products from China are a cheaper fill in.
A lot of people with dogs like you describe do not grind, but feed whole -- some even feed turkey necks to dogs with extremely strong jaws, though the shape of a turkey neck is such that I would take it outside and wrap in a towel and hit it a few times with a hammer and then feed it..
Rabbit is another popular meat.. there's people out there who have a deal with the local police to call them when there is fresh deer road kill -- especially the people with large dogs who live in areas without wasting disease...
Chewing on these big bones occupy dogs for a long time and they actually sleep better from the exercise this chewing gives them...
That is what the partial article from the Sacramento Bee said this afternoon... also some has gotten into pig feed which is illegal since it is for “human” consumption.
You would think they would have thought about all the unintended consequences of this ethenol scam..... and with it probably rising cost of living and interest rates... thanks to all the greenies..
Oooookay.... I’ll have to chew on this one (pun intended), LOL!
~LOL~
Thanks for the ping. I don’t have time to read the thread right now, but I thought it had been determined that they had definitely added the melamine to boost the so-called protein content? Or maybe that had just been speculated up until now. I’ve been out of touch for a few days.
Do we buy any human food from them??
Some people are saying some chicken — and that likely chicken meal isn’t American Chicken meal... so far I haven’t seen that confirmed (but things are moving fast and it can change)....
Yes, they added to up protein to up profit.
Mom, I bought Natural Logic for my kitties a couple weeks ago.My two boys have done OK on it, but my little girl has trouble. First couple of days, she threw it back up. We phased it in, and are still doing so. Most of the time she seems to be tolerating the NaturalLogic if we only add a few pieces of it to her Iams. Granted, the guy at the health food store told us they will probably throw it up at first, so to be sure to phase it in slowly. Otherwise, they like it. Have you had any similar problems or has it been A-OK?
The plot thickens...and they didn’t think anybody would find out???
Time to cut trade with China.
If we ever relinquish our food production to China or other countries, we are or will be in dire straights....food production is about the only industry we have left here in the States.....

I feed my dog Abady kibble for dogs. It is very expensive, for a Rottweiler who eats a lot, but they also make kibble for cats, who eat very little making the cost reasonable.
The food is very pure — no additives.

Outrageous....
P.S. Abady also makes a variety of canned food for cats.
