Thoughtful, fact filled posts used to be what the majority of threads contained here. That hasn't been the case for far too long, now. Fantasy seems to be what most posters now feel compelled to write.
That's what I can't figure out. He had a seething hatred for a world that he didn't even belong to! He had little to no contact with any people, he didn't watch TV or listen to the radio. All he did was go to class and sit around writing. I don't get it.
I know. I am guessing there is more to this story though.

By no means. We don't have the suicide note found in Cho's dorm room, and we only have NBC-filtered commentary on the long letter he wrote to that network. Nor have all the videos been made available.

I think alot of what this kid was ranting about came from Jean Meslier - He was a priest (In the Middle Ages) but published a scathing diatribe against Christianity. It wasn't found til after he died. He was considered a radical enlightenist, but today, its somewhat of a guru to the Athiest and his work is considered a Manifesto in some circles.
In his 'Testament' you will find the phrase "deceitful charlatans," which Cho used the other day. Here's some excepts from Meslier, (I haven't seen all what Cho has written), but its in the flavor of what we have seen. Meslier rants alot against Christianity :
The ministers of religion, who dominate your consciences, are the greatest deceivers of the peoples, whereas the princes and the other great of this world, who dominate your bodies and your assets, are the biggest thieves and murderers on earth. All those who have come, said Jesus-Christ, are robbers and thieves. Omnes quotquot venerunt, fures sunt et latrones.
All the more reason, my dear friends, are we entitled to blame, to hate and to dislike, as I do now, all those ministers of nonsense and iniquity who dominate you so tyrannically, using their power either on your consciences, or on your bodies and your assets.
For all those reasons, he wished that all the great of this world and all the nobles be hanged and strangled with the guts of the priests.(1) That expression certainly sounds rude and gross, but one has to admit that it is frank and guileless. It is short, yet expressive, since it expresses in fairly few words all that those people deserve. Sorry, I don't remember exactly. I THINK I saw the gun dealer from Roanoke say that he charged the gun, and I did read that he bought the .22 from the internet. I'm sure the info. is out there somewhere.
This story is so big and so much info. is out there, it's dizzying!
As much as he wrote it is not going to take long to figure out what was his motivation. This piece of garbage throws around hints like he wants everyone to put together the puzzle. Saying he had terror in his heart was stating the obvious.

That's what fits in the box. FReepers like their world to be one dimensional and predictable. Unfortunately, the world just isn't that way.
