Today's Victory for Traditional American Conservatism
vanity | 4/18/2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/18/2007 1:21:56 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Looks like today's Supreme Court ruling upholding the ban on partial birth abortion puts the lie to several RINO/moderate notions.

First, abortion is NOT a constitutional right. Second, a pro-life president can and does make a difference. Third, a ban on abortion can pass SCOTUS/Constitutional muster. Fourth, America is ready for a ban on all abortions. Fifth, traditional American conservatism CAN and DOES win.

Thank God for the pro-life President Bush and the Republican congress that enacted this ban and for the conservative court that upheld it!

The pro-abortion Rudy Giuliani must never ever be allowed to destroy the pro-life movement within the Republican party.

God Bless President Bush and Traditional American Conservatism!

Keep the faith!

You know thats what I meant, and I know what you meant when you said someday I will wish I cared

I quoted you directly. I don't have to make inferences (as you have done) to support my point of view. I've got the posts that absolutely prove beyond question that I never said or inferred that you don't care about the illegal immigration problem. My statement to you was as clear as it could be ... BECAUSE I QUOTED YOUR POST DIRECTLY WHEN I MADE THE STATEMENT.

Your post #3:

I don’t care what the illegal immigration single issue crowd says, in the long run Bush’s two biggest accomplishments will be his Supreme Court and the WOT, time will show what good he has done in those two areas.

My post #15:

I don't know why people who are opposed to the invasion of our country by illegals have to be a "single issue crowd." Nevertheless, I expect one day you'll wish you had cared.

This is by far the stupidest argument I have ever been involved in on FreeRepublic, but you've called me a liar and you've called me ignorant, and to support yourself in the slander you're attempting to twist my words and ascribe paranthetical inferences that didn't exist.

Your next post to me, # 22:

Who says I don’t now?

And my response to you, post #68:

You did.

You owe me an apology, but I understand that apologies from someone as irrational as you are unlikely.

But...but...but... what happened to all those new "pro-life" democrats that were elected last Fall? There's only one democrat on that entire list.

Why...I'm just baffled. /sarc

This is truly a great day with a great victory.

Thank God we had GW in the White House instead of Gore or Kerry. Had the two SCOTUS appointees been made by either of them, the vote would have been 3-6 against the ban rather than 5-4 in favor of letting the ban stand.

I hope that GW gets to appoint at least one more Justice to the SCOTUS before he leaves office. I’d love to see Ruth Bader Ginsburg retire.

Registered, Rudy also said he would counsel against an abortion, but ultimately pay for his own daughter to have one if she wanted.

This statement is not meant as an insult. Being 'pro-life' means so much more than simply being against abortion. When we fail to acknowledge that fact, we do dangerous, irrational, ultimately self-destructive things like helping to elect hillary clinton.

Since I'll be "voting for Hillary Clinton" if I refuse to abandon my principles and ethics and support Giuliani I might as well live up to your assertion and actually check her name on the ballot.
