Dear Father, we thank You for a President who not only leads with courage, but leads with a heart that is softened by the presence of Jesus Christ, and we thank You for the comfort that he is able to give through Your power and Your love to people who are in such great pain at this hour. We ask that You would lift him up and carry him through the many challenges that he has faced and will face in leading this country. We pray that he and Laura would place their complete faith and trust in You, and in You alone, and that You would bless them every moment of every day. We pray for Your Divine wisdom of our President as he makes decisions that sometimes defy human understanding. Be a real presence in his life and keep him wholly dependent on You.
Dear Father, we continue to pray for our troops in harms way that they would be protected under the shelter of Your wing. We pray that they might have peace in the midst of conflict and that they might have victory over the evil enemy that they face. Thank You for so many who are willing to stand between us and terrorist attacks, and protect America with their own sacrifice. Be with families who miss their loved ones and ache for their return, and also with those who have been wounded, and especially dear Lord with the families of those who have fallen in this just and noble cause.
Finally dear Father, we pray for this nation as we grieve the loss of so many young lives. We pray that this tragedy might be used to bring glory to Yourself, and that others would be drawn into Your presence during this time and that this nation might once again understand that we must become obedient to Your laws and Your will, both as individuals and as a nation. We pray for each family member of those dear Virginia Tech students and faculty who have lost their lives in this monstrous attack, that they would be comforted and draw close to You, and we pray for all who have been wounded that they might be healed completely, and for those who have been wounded by what they have seen and experienced, we pray for a peace that passes all understanding. Father, we ask forgiveness for arrogance and pride, and bow humbly before You knowing that we all sin and fall short of Your glory, and that it is only through the cleansing blood of Christ Jesus that we can have the forgiveness of sins, and it is in His Name that we pray, Amen!
Please join us in prayer for our President, our troops and our nation, and especially for the families of those who have lost their lives at Virginia Tech, and for the entire community there.
Beautiful, straight from your heart prayer, (((ohioWfan))). Your sweet and good heart.
(Tears)
Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.
He who goes out weeping carrying seed to sow,
Will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.
Amen.

THANK YOU for yet another beautiful and inspiring prayer . . . AMEN and AMEN!
They say that into every life some rain must fall
For the pain is no respector of the mighty or the small
But sometimes it just seems so unfair
To see one who's had more than his share
Oh it makes you wonder why
And Lord I wouldn't second guess Your mighty plan
For I know You have a purpose that's beyond the scope of man
If You look inside my heart You will find
That I have always been the trusting kind
Oh but still I wonder
Why do the rainy days have to come
When the storm clouds hide the sun
I want to know why
Why when the reasons aren't clear to me
When it all is a mystery
I want to know why
And though down here I may not understand
I won't let go of the unseen hand
For It holds the reasons why
The Lord has never been afraid of honest prayers
And He won't allow the burden to be more than you can bear
When He knows that your trust is in Him
He doesn't mind the questions now and then
Even if you wonder
Why do the rainy days have to come
When the storm clouds hide the sun
I want to know why
Why when the reasons aren't clear to me
When it all is a mystery
I want to know why
And though down here I may not understand
I won't let go of the unseen hand
For It holds the reasons why

Thank you so much for your constant and faithful prayer, Deb!
Thank you for adding a perfect song for this day, Luvya! God bless you!
Our days are as a vapor. We are but dust, but grass and then, thanks to the Cross...a thousand years as a day; a day as a thousand years.
“SEEK MY FACE,”
I said,
“Thy Face, LORD, will I seek.”
This is true and I agree.
Amen.
Amen, Spirit! AMEN!
Joining you in prayer. Oh Father, we ask You to comfort the hearts of the loved ones of those senselessly murdered at VT. Have mercy on and bless the souls of those gone. Though it’s hard to understand, we are reminded that there is a reason for everything, and we just thank You that You love us and that You have a plan for us, a hope and a future for those who trust in You even in the face of devastation. Father, we pray that all in this country would realize that we need You, that disaster and grief follow disobedience and hardened hearts. In all this, thank You for reminding us that our purpose on this earth is to abide in You and to ultimately glorify You. Have mercy on us, Lord. Thank You for our president who You use once again to comfort a nation at a time such as this. Thank You so much. Bless Your Name. In the Name of Jesus, amen!
Amen.
Amen
