How can God be just in judging just America, when in fact the whole world is in sin ?
This guy has got it wrong, if God does come and judge, he will judge the whole world.

" It's the same MO as the ACLU suing over religious symbols "
How about Al Sharpton and Jessy Jackson " Shake Down " of corporations, and the race baiting ?

They shake down shareholders, not taxpayers. Only difference.

Correction:
( The guy is a left wing radical hiding behind a religious facade, who is trying to make Christianity look bad. )

I have a feeling that some people are going to stop this guy this time. I hope so. Then ACLU, et.al., will come their rescue. Things have gone weird nowadays.

A much younger Fred Phelps and wife with Al and Tipper Gore. Phelps was a Gore Delegate at the Democratic National Convention in Atlanta in 1988.

Phelps is in fact homosexual.
fact? I don’t think so (I don’t think there is any factual information to your post), but I do believe that he does not understand the Bible at all and of course just continues to make Christians look like Crazies. He does more damage to the Christian community than just about anybody that I have ever known.

Sometimes I despise religion. This man and his followers delusions have nothing to do with religion. Do you despise a cross because the KKK burns one in a black person's yard? Phelps uses religion in the same way, it's just a prop. Religion isn't to blame here. Despise Phelps and his followers and their hateful ideas and actions.

It was put out last year that this b-----d was going to show up to protest a serviceman's funeral in Perry County, PA. This is well between Philly and Pittsburgh - rifle-in the-pickup, old-refrigerator-on-the-front-porch territory.
I don't know how but they must have gotten word this would be a good one for them to miss. They never showed.

Why would the rantings of a democrat activist make you hate religion. Because he cloaks his hate under the Baptist label.

Phelps is a useful idiot for MSM and Christian bashers. They gleefully point to him and make sure everyone thinks he represents Christianity, although nothing could be futher from the truth. When a Muslim offers the same defense of Islam, saying the same thing about some terror-preaching Imam, most people on FR reject it outright. At best, they say that it's time for the moderate Muslims to prove themselves by cleansing their own ranks. Failure to tackle that responsibility is regarded as a tacit endorsement of terrorism.
But when the shoe's on the other foot, it's a form of persecution. Funny, that.

“Sometimes I despise religion.”
Sometimes I despise atheists.
Now that we got that out of the way, what does your comment have to do with anything? This guy isn’t religious, he’s a nutcase.

Phelps is as religious as the Mohammadans. Both are evil political cults.

I hope they give some of their linemen a crack at this doofus. No way a jury in Blacksburg would convict anyone of harming this horrible old man.
To: goodnesswins
Back in the old days if anybody tired something like this they would be either tarred and feathered or lynched.
To: Non-Sequitur
So, if he called himself a Republican instead of a Baptist, you’d hate Republicans?

Why did this happen, you ask? It's simple. Your military chose to shoot at the servants of God today, and all they got for their effort was terror. Then, the LORD your God sent a crazed madman to shoot at your children. Was God asleep while this took place? Was He on vacation? Of course not. He willed this to happen to punish you for assailing His servants. This guy is insane, there are no two ways about it.
