Why did this happen, you ask? It's simple. Your military chose to shoot at the servants of God today, and all they got for their effort was terror. Then, the LORD your God sent a crazed madman to shoot at your children. Was God asleep while this took place? Was He on vacation? Of course not. He willed this to happen to punish you for assailing His servants.

I used to think Fred Phelps was hateful and loony. Now I think he is dangerous. I hope the FBI is on this guy.

Well, you can rule out thinking there is freedom of speech in this country.
Phelps is a useful idiot for MSM and Christian bashers. They gleefully point to him and make sure everyone thinks he represents Christianity, although nothing could be futher from the truth.
Someone from VA Tech area should study how Phelps messed up recently and ended up paying for a Marine's funeral and make sure they get called if they make the same mistake.
Past this, PGR tactics are known to be effective and their will be no shortage of folks to hold flags and banners at the services for these students.
It is more fun for Phelps to threaten than to actually do. But, the preparations to deal with the Phelps crew are very helpful to the families so they are worth doing if the jerks show up or not.
To think our soldiers are sacrificing for this guy to speak like this.
I pray the families will have peace.

Nothing right about Phelps, in either sense of the word. He has always been a registered Democrat.
What does that have to do with religion? The guy is a left wing radical hiding behind a facade. He seems to have a steady flow of funds and it aint from conservatives.
When he's rolled the dice before, it with a smaller pool of people. A lot of Americans really don't kow what he's doing at funerals. But now everybody will know. So though the odds are small, the pool is big.
