VA Tech Attack A Premeditated Act Or Jealous Act Of Rage?
Strata-Sphere ^ | April 16th, 2007 | AJStrata

Posted on 04/16/2007 7:59:22 PM PDT by Ernest_at_the_Beach

It seems the Massacre at VA Tech (where I went to school briefly) was premeditated. The reasons are clear in the latest reports. First off the man took a gun to confront his girlfriend, who was more than likely trying to get out of sufficating relationship (I have seen this pattern before, but with less violent results). When he did not get what he wanted and an RA came to deal with the commotion the man pulled his gun and killed the girlfriend and RA. This means the man planned the confrontation and brought the gun with him.

The second act was also premeditated since the man came with guns and clips and the ability to chain the doors (when I was there there were no chains even wrapped on the doors to close them). Finally there is reporting that the bomb threats in the prior weeks were tests of the response time of the authorities. Combined with the news the man was a 24 year old from China shows a combination of military training (not OUR military lefties) and planning.

What really worries me is if this was a test for other attacks. If the man was testing College responses then the key would be to make this look like anything BUT a terrorist attack. I am not making the claim here this was terrorist related, but the man did not seem to be looking for his girlfriend’s lover, he seemed to be out trying to kill anyone he ran across. A perfect diversion for a test run would be a lover’s quarrel. And ending it in a ’suicide’ negates the ability to get to the bottom of his motives. Of course violent jealousy is not uncommon, and more so in male dominated societies like those in Asia and the ME. In those places killing women is like throwing away property. But something is not right here. For someone who was in the emotional throws of jealousy, the attack shows signs of careful planning and cold execution. The two characteristics do not mix. Careful planning and cool execution implies a lot of self control and discipline, things which are in complete opposition to an out of control act of rage.

Update: It seems I am not the only one who thinks this was a well planned out massacre (H/T Flopping Aces):

He was trained and knew exactly what he was doing. There are too many steps to just be random acts. My guess is Al Queda.

I agree. This was not the work of a Chinese student who took it out on a bunch of students when he learned that his girlfriend was unfaithful. It was clearly planned and premeditated, as indicated by the two guns, the ammunition belts, and most of all the lock and chain to bar the door.

In a post linked at Flopping Aces, someone claims to be the dealer who sold him the guns. He writes in a gun forum that the gun buyer was a Chinese named Cho who had a green card and a second piece of ID with his address on it. So he was NOT here on a student visa, which other sources have said. He had a green card.

That could just be a coincidence. But it could also be a necessary first step by someone who knew that you cannot buy guns legally with just a student visa, but you must have a green card.

I didn't say that American soldiers were trained to "slaughter" innocent "civilians" or that there's no moral difference as per your mentioned scenario. Sadly, our argument is getting to be rather circular. It appears that I did somehow touch a nerve.

You did. I'm kinda touchy when people talk about American soldiers and their capabilities, even if it's another American soldier. It seemed as if you were comparing a mass-murderer's mindset to that of an ordinary G.I.

Morning Dave, just a note before I'm out the door. Seems the cops have found a note. It was signed 'Ismail Ax'.

Later.

One more detail. That link at Flopping Aces, if genuine, suggests that he had a green card rather than a student visa.

Why did he have a green card, which would be a lot more trouble to get? More evidence of premeditation, perhaps?

Here’s a link indicating that in Virginia a green card—but NOT a student visa—gives you the right to concealed carry:

P.S. The news reports confirm that he was a Korean named Cho.

Now, how would the poster in that gun forum have known that early, a full day before the news was made public, that his name was Cho, unless he was as he says the gun dealer who sold him the gun?

This seems to confirm that the poster was telling the truth. I can’t think of another explanation for these posts.

Now we are told that the shooter left a protest note before he acted, cursing American students as rich and decadent, and that he wrote “Ismael Ax” on his arm. Ismael is the Arab form of Ishmael, traditionally the ancestor of the Arabs and in Muslim eyes the son of Abraham who was chosen by Allah, rather than Isaac.

I really wonder about the wisdom of allowing those with green cards to own guns. If the Immigration Services’ past performance is any indication, we have no clue who these people are or where they came from-—or what hidden agendas they may have.

I don’t buy the “pill poppers” defense either. It is just too damn easy to commit heinous, horrible crimes, then claim to be “under the influence” of some commonly used drug, that only you and a few other “breathing turds” have a problem with. No excuses.

Just in case you haven't seen this:

Cho Seung-Hui Was Inspired By Islam

*********************EXCERPT***************************

Just heard it on Fox News. Cho Seung-Hui left a suicide note and signed it as Ismael-AX (or Ismail-AX as the media published just now). Ismael is the Arabic for Ishmael the father of the Arabs, the son of Abraham and the one that Muhammad the founder of Islam favored above Isaac the father of the Jews.

And a lot of us have been demonized for suggesting a possible Islamic connection to this.

Looks like this guy had a HISTORY....:

April 17, 2007
Ismail Ax?

*************************EXCERPT ********************

From the Captain's Quarters

*************************

The Virginia Tech shooter had a history of odd behavior, and his professors had gone so far as to recommend him for counseling, the Chicago Tribune reports this morning. Seung-hui Cho left behind a note that blamed the "debauchery" of "rich kids" for his shooting spree, and had the words "Ismail Ax" written on his forearm when he died:

The suspected gunman in the Virginia Tech shooting rampage, Cho Seung-Hui, was a troubled 23-year-old senior from South Korea who investigators believe left an invective-filled note in his dorm room, sources say.

The note included a rambling list of grievances, according to sources. They said Cho also died with the words "Ismail Ax" in red ink on the inside of one of his arms.

Cho had shown recent signs of violent, aberrant behavior, according to an investigative source, including setting a fire in a dorm room and allegedly stalking some women.

A note believed to have been written by Cho was found in his dorm room that railed against "rich kids," "debauchery" and "deceitful charlatans" on campus.

My approach after 9/11 is to assume an Islamic connection and look for proof that it wasn’t ,....see posts just above.

I'll see if this has been posted....:

Sources: College gunman left note

************************EXCERPT*******************************

Cho, from Centreville, Va., a rapidly growing suburb of Washington, D.C., came to the United States in 1992, an investigative source said. He was a legal permanent resident.

His family runs a dry cleaning business and he has a sister who attended Princeton University, according to the source.

Investigators believe Cho at some point had been taking medication for depression. They are examining Cho's computer for more evidence.

The gunman's family lived in an off-white, two-story town house in Centreville.

"He was very quiet, always by himself," neighbor Abdul Shash said of the gunman. Shash said the gunman spent a lot of his free time playing basketball, and wouldn't respond if someone greeted him. He described the family as quiet.

Or are they so stupid they don't even realize how simple and effective that would be to "terrorize" the public?

Maybe they realize the hell that would rain down on their agenda and would defeat their purpose.
