VA Tech Attack A Premeditated Act Or Jealous Act Of Rage?
Strata-Sphere ^ | April 16th, 2007 | AJStrata

It seems the Massacre at VA Tech (where I went to school briefly) was premeditated. The reasons are clear in the latest reports. First off the man took a gun to confront his girlfriend, who was more than likely trying to get out of sufficating relationship (I have seen this pattern before, but with less violent results). When he did not get what he wanted and an RA came to deal with the commotion the man pulled his gun and killed the girlfriend and RA. This means the man planned the confrontation and brought the gun with him.

The second act was also premeditated since the man came with guns and clips and the ability to chain the doors (when I was there there were no chains even wrapped on the doors to close them). Finally there is reporting that the bomb threats in the prior weeks were tests of the response time of the authorities. Combined with the news the man was a 24 year old from China shows a combination of military training (not OUR military lefties) and planning.

What really worries me is if this was a test for other attacks. If the man was testing College responses then the key would be to make this look like anything BUT a terrorist attack. I am not making the claim here this was terrorist related, but the man did not seem to be looking for his girlfriend’s lover, he seemed to be out trying to kill anyone he ran across. A perfect diversion for a test run would be a lover’s quarrel. And ending it in a ’suicide’ negates the ability to get to the bottom of his motives. Of course violent jealousy is not uncommon, and more so in male dominated societies like those in Asia and the ME. In those places killing women is like throwing away property. But something is not right here. For someone who was in the emotional throws of jealousy, the attack shows signs of careful planning and cold execution. The two characteristics do not mix. Careful planning and cool execution implies a lot of self control and discipline, things which are in complete opposition to an out of control act of rage.

Update: It seems I am not the only one who thinks this was a well planned out massacre (H/T Flopping Aces):

I think the terrorist situation is both better and worse than you think. Better in the sense that there are very few people inside this country with the will to committ these acts and worse in that there are million different way to seriously mess with our heads and our economy. We must assume the Bush Admin has been pretty effective and keeping them off our streets.

"This guy’s kill rate was VERY good. He shot 60 people, total, and you know most of them were probably moving, with handguns. Its been said that he fired approximately 100 rounds. That’s a 60% hit rate, with an over 30% kill rate. I don’t think this was any rank, “crazy”, amateur."

...agreed. There's almost no way. He did not likely train himself to do that as a civilian in China (although very likely trained in China). His tactical moves were for killing many people--not wandering around to find a girlfriend. Chinese people aren't affected as we are by romanticism. Despite Mao's old design against monogamy, they are far more monogamous than we are. Women there very seldom commit adultery. Men aren't as likely to go crazy, if a girlfriends/wives find other boyfriends. That's because any woman who behaves loosely there is disdained and disowned by her whole community. Young men are taught to simply get away from such women.

But China would certainly use such romantic pretext in a covert, military probe, because our fellow Americans suck it up.

Fact: in the USA, most violence committed against women is done by strangers or acquaintances--not intimates.

“...Young people frequently have no experience with sociopathic personalities.

This dude was cold ~ very cold ~ he used his girlfriend like a kleenex.

The targets weren’t people to him ~ but may well have been seen as his opportunity to get to Paradise and have at those 72 virgins.

THIS IS NOT A TEST. Here you have the possibility that AlQaida is demonstrating that not all their terrorists are swarthy men with heavy beards...”

“...That means that the ATF know who the gun owner is. But apparently they are sitting on this information.

The gun dealer goes on to say that the person in question had a Green Card, which makes the sale legal...”

—So the Orientals’ name is ‘Cho’, he’s got a Green Card (they’re actually blue now, I think), not a Student Visa, he kills two people, the receipt for one piece is in his pocket, he’s carrying lotsa ammo, a second gun AND door chains, and he’s a stone-killer/suicider who walks 1/2 mile to kill 19 more people, then offs himself when he hears the cops!
Is that about it?

I agree! Sounds like a muzzie plan to me ............... FRegards

I have absolutley no proof of this, but I think they will eventually find this was a terrible, unimagined coincidence and that the two are not related. The initial reports on the first shooting was that the shooter was an older white man in a black pickup with farm plates, probably not all that uncommon in rural VA.

The second shooter is being indentified as a Chinese national here 8 month on a student visa who just happened to be able to buy two guns, extra clips, a lot of ammo and possibly a flak vest.

It is very hard to understand the 2 hour gap between the attacks, the obvious premeditation and the seeming professionalism of the second attack unless you look at them as two separate incidents.

Just my opinion, but you asked.

You said — “My theory is that this guy was in fact girl crazy and killed her and the RA. The other killings were to get the other guy. Maybe he didn’t know what he looked like but knew he was a XYZ engineering student.”

That’s probably the most “normal” scenario — if you can call killing all those people “normal” in a whacko’s head...

You also said — “My final random thought: if the shooter was a Radford student, he had no reason to be nutty over one girl.”

Yeah, except some of these Asian types seem hung up on just “one” girl, and they may feel they lose face if the girl dumps them. So, it may not be that, sure..., there are a bunch of other girls over there — but rather, it’s *this girl* that he was with and she dumped him. That’s bad in his mind...

Star Traveler

P.S. — It really is getting to be a crazy world when both Al Qaida and the “crazies and loonies” are out to kill us all...

Here’s what the PLA could hope to accomplish with such an attack, if it was a probe for a later attack on a larger scale (such as the beginning of a war).

Worse case would be that this shooter was one of a group of sleeper agents who were in the process of planning coordinated attacks across the country. After catching his girlfriend in bed with someone else or some other problem that led to the early shooting, he then executed his specific plan early. Just throwing out possibilities.

Maybe, but we have no reason to believe there were any eyewitnesses to the shooting which neither rules the Norris shooter in or out of the first dorm shooting. Secondly, whether they were related or not, the first shooter knew that there were NO surveillance cameras which either was incredible luck or very good planning.

Might be, and might not. It could be a plot like I listed up above, too. It could have been he was a German agent, on loan from the Chinese, and funded by the French, because they want to get rid of Wolfowitz, and Bush gave the okay.

I mean..., that’s just as meaningful as yours at this point.

Or, he could have been a “whacked out lover” who was jilted and he couldn’t stand to “lose face”. And he decided to “show everyone”...

And then, again, it could be something else that no one even knows about yet, because we haven’t got all the information.

So, we’re all spinning yarns, at this point in time...

Wow! Some of these speculative ideas are getting as “whacked” as what was in the shooter’s head.

He was trained and knew exactly what he was doing. There are too many steps to just be random acts. My guess is Al Queda.

Pray for W and Va Tech

In that case as in this one, Homeland Security is given an alternative story as not to alarm the sheeple.
