Because he had no ID and shot himself in the face.

This doesn't smell right. How did he shoot himself in the face? Did he eat his gun? Did he put the gun to the bridge of his nose and pull the trigger?

But more importantly, why would he literally shoot his face off? Remose? You feel over whelmed by guilt and you shot yourself in the face?? Shoot yourself in the head I can understand, but in the face?

And if this is a case of SJS why would he kill himself? I thought one had to die in defense of the faith, etc. etc. to get into Paradise, that killing yourself wouldn't do the trick. Why wouldn't he just wait for the cops (or whoever) to take him out?

Strange that he should have arranged it that he would have no face left to ID him, but means nothing. Finger prints? His race/color? No facial features needed. Look at the palms of his hands, the soles of his feet.

Like I said, this whole thing is starting to develop a somewhat peculiar oder.

There are too many Freepers who seem desperate to pin this on the villains du jour, i.e., Islamos or illegals. I’ll be the first to go nuts if the authorities try to cover up jihadi influence, but the limited info available now just doesn’t support that. My sources on campus report that the word is the shooter is an Asian, probably Chinese male who was a student at nearby Radford. He went looking to kill his gf at the dorm and instead murdered her roommate and an RA. Then he went to the building where the gf’s first class was supposed to be and, not knowing which room she was in, began methodically making his way through the building. Just a theory, but just as valid as any “the Muslims did it” conclusion at this point.

I’m sure the fact that the shooter was a Muslim will come out two months from now, safely buried on page 10 of USA Today.

Personally, I don’t think we can trust our media or Government to tell us the truth anymore. The trend started with TWA 800—I’m sure we will never know the truth about that.

Also note that from the press conference he supposedly was an exchange student who came to the US late last year. There are photos in the book from early last year.
