At least 33 people were killed today on the campus of Virginia Tech in what appears to be the deadliest shooting rampage in American history, according to federal law-enforcement officials. Many of the victims were students shot in a dorm and a classroom building

We need no further studies; the death and mayhem that has followed every gun control law ever enacted is all we need. We have to return to constitutional government.
I don’t believe you’re looking for answers, because the answers are too obvious to need seeking. I think you’re looking for rationale to support gun control.
The college pres was just on TV and it is obvious the university security screwed up big time. He said they thought that things were contained in the dorm until they searched the room and did not find a gun. He was implying that the dorm shooting was first thought to be a murder/sucide since a male and female were found in the room. This conflicts with the earlier statement from the Police Chief of the univesity who said they thought the shooter had left the city and was headed out of state. The changing stories are really making me suspicious of the jilted boyfriend scenario. Why would a jilted boyfriend kill his girlgriend and then wait around two hours to kill random people in a classroom across campus?
Asian in Great Britain usually means Pakistani
“M-16 and military weapons are completely illegal and usually stolen by unscrupulous military personnel or law enforcement and sold on the black market.”
Somebody is misinformed about gun laws. Military weapons are not illegal- they can be purchased and legally owned by law abiding citizens with the appropriate tax payment and paperwork. Some restrictions do apply, but autofire weapons are not hard to find, just expensive.
And cheaper & easier to get a license to kill with ugh, aim er, I mean drive it.
And fewer consequneces for misuse.
Anybody who would give up liberty for security will soon be living in tyranny. Natural solutions to spiritual and moral problems only leads to more problems, and further away from the real solution. When the Spirit of the Lord is strong, the forces of evil cannot abide, which was motivating this demonic killer.
I wonder how many college campuses teach evolution, global warming, homosexuality, and abortion rights, compared to faith in God and His Word?
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Lets just say all the Virginia Tech students were armed.
What is to stop the gun man from obtaining RPGs or dynamite or machine guns to do his evil work while wearing a body armor ?
What NRA policy would the student body have to adopt, if we know that criminals can obtain machine guns and RPGs and dynamite ?
The reason that guns are being discussed is because according to the Philadelphia statistics, 85% of all deaths due to crimes were from guns and not from cars.
“Let’s keep an eye on this as the MSM usually tries to conveniently not report if a perp was a muzzie (there is no WOT, just a ‘police action’, move on, nothing to see here...)”
Media.......
1. Moving toward a lone gunman theory, even if not.
2. Now testing a single-classroom concentration theory.
Good one.
“Congress should conduct several unbiased studies on guns”
Sorry to be harsh, but in what universe would Congress be unbiased? It is only among the citizenry that the possession of guns guarantees keeping its legislators, now very far removed, in check. That our friends and neighbors would revolt at the seizure of weapons and complete disarmament of the populace is our last defense at totalitarianism.

You think criminals in the U.S. can buy RPGs, machine guns and dynamite?
Notice that the NYT says 33 dead because they are including the gunman.
‘What NRA policy would the student body have to adopt, if we know that criminals can obtain machine guns and RPGs and dynamite ?’
You have to be trolling, they are criminals. Of course they can get those items if they are willing to pay.
‘Lets just say all the Virginia Tech students were armed.
‘
Let’s, this would have ended in the first classroom.
Goodbye.
It's not everyday that one gets to read words of wisdom! "sac off"
But on second thought how many guns do you think are smuggled into the country??
Head shot defeats body armor. Every Time. But, But, what if they show up with tanks, and battleships, and F-16’s? SARCASM ON
Welcome to FR. Another anti gun newb, I see. I just found one on another thread.
So the point of your comment is what?
