Aren't most guns, involved in gun crimes, legally purchased at one time and subsequently either sold or stolen ?
or do you think most of the gun crimes are from guns smuggled into this country ?

Doesn't Virginia Tech have a special responsibility to protect their students since they prohibit self defense?
I would think so.

We should pull out of Virginia now! It’s a quagmire. Americans are needlessly dying. I blame Bush. < /sarc>

How long before Sarah Brady comes out with her mouth? How long before the usual Marxist’s theme that WE NEED TO TAKE AWAY ALL GUNS!! These fools cannot keep 21 illegals out of the country, have never stopped the flow of illegal drugs into the country, and they think they can stop all guns from being in the country????? Nope, only law abiding citizens will not have guns. Criminals will continue to have them.

Point of order. "Most guns" are not "involved in gun crimes." Lose the commas and you'll have an answerable question instead of a tendentious pseudo-argument.

No, it’s worse than than that. Va. Tech actually disciplined a student about 2 years ago for lawfully carrying a concealed handgun. In response, Virginia Citizen’s Defense League lobbied for a bill to allow students (with CHPs) to carry on campus. The bill failed in committee.
To quote Va. Tech when that bill failed:
“Virginia Tech spokesman Larry Hincker was happy to hear the bill was
defeated. “I’m sure the university community is appreciative of the
General Assembly’s actions because this will help parents, students,
faculty and visitors feel safe on our campus.”

If this was a “gun crime” what kind of a crime is committed by a man who rapes a woman or women?
“Penis crime.”
Sick analogy but the problem isn’t what the person uses, its what the person does.
Crimes are committed by criminals and people who commit crimes remain the problem.
Its so easy to look somewhere else because a “people problem” implies a “moral problem.”
Then we have to talk about things like “religion” and “morality.”
Oops, how politically incorrect.

Initial reports are that the gunman only had a couple of .9 mil handguns. If so, he knew what he was doing, given the enormity of the death toll. Apparently most were shot execution style in a locked class hall. Reports say he may have been Asian. Waiting for further details.
A horrible tragedy. Prayers for the survivors, victims, and their families. God have Mercy on them and give them comfort and strength through the horror they are going through.
