Maybe they need to rethink the president’s visit... too many Jamaat ul Fuqra in the area... Aberghouti the phone filmer (you do know who his dad is right?), doesn’t ease me one bit either.

SMERSH was actually a globalist org from the James Bond movies.

SMERSH was a REAL element of the Soviet GRU. While it did appear in the Bond movies as well, IRRC, I think you're thinking of Ernst Blofeld's fictional organization from the movies, S.P.E.C.T.R.E.

“He apparently had scrawled the words “ISMAIL AX” on the inside of one arm, according to the Chicago Tribune, which may be a reference to the Islamic account of the Biblical sacrifice of Abraham.”

I don't know if you saw this thread. They're saying he was a resident alien, so he needed to show proof of residency in the state for 90 continuous days prior to the purchase and show his green card. I don't know about Virginia, but I can tell you that Florida checks with ICE before they complete a Brady approval and if the person's address is not up to date with ICE, they will deny for that. I don't know if ICE has real time access to entry and exit data.

No, I wouldn't marry him. I'd probably be marrying his mother also.

However, I doubt that he's the lady marrying type.

I’m definitely for non-felons carrying where ever and when ever they want but there is probably a better reason for Vermont and New Hamphsire having so little violent crime. It’s very un-PC to mention it, but they are probably the whitest states in the union (96%). Blacks are 1% in NH and less than that in VT. Add in another low crime group like Asians (1-2%) and you end up with a population coming almost entirely from low crime groups. The sad tragedy that is young black male crime just doesn’t hit those two states.

What would you estimate as the ethnic makeup of, say, Norway or Sweden? How about Japan or Korea?

Vermont and New Hampshire both have lower violent crime rates than all of those nations.

The race issue is just a red herring that is washed out to statistical sea by the significance of the right and ability to defend oneself against an attacker. Remember that the next time some gun-banner tries to use it on you.

Wow, I never knew that, I had always been told it was fictional. I’ll have to do some googling, thanks for the heads up.

“Investigators believe Cho at some point had been taking medication for depression. They are examining Cho’s computer for more evidence.”

It wouldn't surprise me one bit that anti-depressants were involved.

I’m less worried for the President Steger now — at the convocation he had an almost 1-minute ovation, he had to cut it off. I think the students are behind him.

The media apparently had to work to find the few who blamed him for the tragedy.

Only RESPONSIBLE...

That sounds like your average "law-abiding citizen" to me.

...and well trained people should have access to weapons in those type of situations

And who defines what "well trained" means? The D@mocrats? The Brady's? We've already gone WAY too far that direction here in New Mexico - courtesy of the D@mocrats...

I see no problem with well certified citizens carrying weapons in public, but I don’t think every hot headed 18 year old on campus should be packing heat as some posters have advocated.

I tell you what - I don't have time to read through thousands of posts here, but if you can provide credible examples of 'posters advocating every hot headed 18 year old on campus packing heat,' I would be happy to address the issue. In fact, it's a non-issue...

There were no suspects, no hostage situation...they didn't even know if it was murder suicide.

Lets hope this wasn't the case. In the the initial shooting/murder scene, there was no gun. Meaning who ever murdered them, was still on the loose with a gun.

As a college student, I would feel a lot more secure with a concealed-carry, but the idea of students having concealed-carry is only good until the first weekend after they get their gun rolls around- I’m guessing about 1/2 of campus gets smashed thursday-saturday nights every single weekend, every holiday, day off, or any other imaginable excuse for partying. Drunk college students with guns is NOT a good idea, and nobody ever really gets arrested for underage drinking, so trying to restrict it with background checks wouldn’t work too well.

Thanks. Several people on here pointed this out to me with links and so on. I had never heard of this school tragedy. There are just some really evil people out there.

What's really evil is how rational they appear up until they commit their crime. The three worst school killings in the US (thank God we haven't had a Breslan) were all done by people who planned this out.

The worst - the Bath disaster, they said the guy planned it up for up to a year, and planned on how to do the most damage and get the targets he wanted. There were hundreds of pounds of explosives that didn't go off - had they gone off, the death toll would have easily hit 100+ He created diversions for the town's fire department. The UT Tower shootings - Whitman planned this for quite a while, and went to great lengths to prepare for a prolonged siege. The VT shootings, the guy brought chain so that he could chain the exits shut, bought his guns and ammo a month or so ago and a month apart, and had tested the campus emergency response.

That too me is the most chilling - these people snapped and yet were able to hold it together long enough to carry out the plans their screwed up minds came up with. All appeared very aware of what they were doing.
