I don’t think any of the profs were specifically targeted.
The whack job was looking for his ex-girlfriend and her new lover. Supposedly they had classes in the Norris building.
Mostly, the profs were trying to defend their students. Excellent brilliant men, killed at random.
The students caught at Norris Hall should have been forewarned. That is due to a failure in communication. They were sitting ducks - some of their words and I agree w/them.
I guess I’m spoiled in Florida. When there’s been a criminal act, there is a dragnet and plenty of warning.
To all the students that have been personally affected by this, as either a bystander or shooting victim, many of us grieve with you, especially those of us who has children. Do not let this catastrophe dominate your life. Don’t let him do that. Take back your life, you did nothing but go to school just like any other day. A senseless, random act of violence does not deserve perpetual, mental dissection. The media will want to know your inner most thoughts. Don’t give them the satisfaction. The timing is not right for raw emotions. Allow yourself personal time with family and close friends. Talk about it, get it out. But then, don’t let it consume you. Don’t let your nightmares torment you. You have a life to still live, and a society to still give to. Focus your energy of regaining equilibrium, and make new memories, quickly, and lots of them. Rehashing the event over and over is destructive. You have survived, and you must move on. God bless.

I’m just curious - can anyone remember an incident where on a college campus there was a murder event that seemed to be over, and then another murder event started hours later. I think this guy is getting a bum rap - the report that he no doubt got from the dorm was this was a crime of passion; how is he supposed to foresee it erupting elsewhere?

They did not warn the students. That is why imo, the president should be fired.

Thanks. Several people on here pointed this out to me with links and so on. I had never heard of this school tragedy. There are just some really evil people out there.
If you just happen to come in contact with LEO (wrong place, wrong time) and they ask you for ID which you cannot provide, you can be held until they are satisfied as to who you are. My wallet is ALWAYS in my pocket, even if I’m just working on my own property. Only time I’m without it is when I’m in PJs.... or less.
