I didn’t say that he SHOULD face lawsuits, if he did everything by the book. He shouldn’t. But you know he WILL, even if they are frivolous. The anti-gunners will try to ruin this guy, and if they have to bankrupt him with frivolous lawsuits, you bet they’ll do it. Look at what Mikey Bloomberg is trying to do to a few Virginia gun shops.

The press has positively sickened me even more than usual which I didn’t think was possible.

First impressions, that’s all. It signifies no more than that.
I think telling the public that the guy is dead should be pretty reassuring as to the fact that the matter is under control. I don’t think knowing his name would add much to that, and might harm the investigation.

This is why I get all my news off the internet via wire reports and such. At least you don’t have the constant meaningless airfilling and tear jerking the tv press likes to pull...
IOW, the VA President and the police are getting peppered en masse with demands for answers from every corner imaginable and are doing everything possible to provide for those demands but without undue speculation.
And, it looks, about now, that the speculation (murder/suicide) is provable in part, but is not yet complete with investigatory information.
That takes time, and meanwhile FR and the MSM are so quick with those triggers in demanding answers, it's probably best for officials in VA to simply shut down, a bit, in order to slow down a run-away horse named "out of control" and logistically unreasonable demands for answers.

Do you seriously think that the gun vendor won’t be sued by someone? It makes no difference if he followed the rules or not, someone will try to sue him. If it isn’t the family members of one of the deceased, it will be some liberal third party busybody. They may or may not prevail in a lawsuit but you can bet your bottom dollar SOMEONE is going to sue the vendor over this. Not saying it is right, mind you, but it WILL happen.
Geraldo has said that many, many more questions have been asked than answered.
Isn’t that self-fulfilling wish on his part? The press throws out billions of questions and whines when they all aren’t answered immediately.
Don’t people want to WAIT to find out the true facts?
