That is precisely what the CONSULAR SECTION of US EMBASSIES, around the world, are to do and do do. They do background checks, interviews, take reams of documents and affidavits, generally ask green card applications to provide fingerprint cards and POLICE records.

This is how the US Embassies are supposed to work overseas. This the screening process for anyone who LEGALLY wants to come to the USA, such as a student, someone requiring a permanent residence visa.

You're doing a really good job of connecting the dots. After the fact. I always noticed that's it's a lot easier then. Bomb threats on a college campus aren't all that unusual. We had several when I was in school 30 years ago...usually around finals. I'm sure the administration was keeping an eye open because of the threats but there's no way that you go from bomb threat called in to this kind of massacre...until after the fact.

that law should be changed if indeed that is the Virginia law. the 2nd amendment does not extend to non-citizens, let’s get real here. I don’t care how pro-RKBA you are, a foreign national here on a visa should not be able to purchase a gun.

This guy must have been well trained to do all the things he did in preparing as mass murder.

Perhaps the school bus driver scare last month prompted other action on victims that were totally vulnerable and unsuspecting.

He’ll be investigated. The whole world knew about this attack before his cellphone video was ever aired.
He alerted nobody, and in fact turned it over to American media who was already covering it.

You can try to spin that as a conspiracy with what looks like to be a Chinese killer, but there’s no linkage there.

We want to be angry at someone, but our anger should be directed at the evil deeds of (apparently) one young man, not at the inability of hardworking men and women to perfectly foresee those evil deeds.
