Dumba$$....32 dead kids and alot of friends and family beg to differ from you tonight.
Nice hijack try.
No hint whatsoever that this has anything to do with illegal immigration.
Go play on another thread.
Yea, he would never use a 9mm
“The deterent? Arm all good citizens.”
I agree! The problem with just arming certain people (ie teachers, professors) and letting it be known is that the killers/terrorists will kill those people first. If everyone has the right to carry, then the killers just don’t know who might be armed.
it could be that the massacre was well planned, but the initial shooting was some “personal business” he wanted to take care of first.
I’ll wager Obama meant, “there will be many more senseless tragedies until we rid this land of the scourge of private gun ownership”.
The timeline per Drudge does not fit with that guy
You may be right.
I think that some students have already made the connection.

Geraldo just said the Blacksberg police were told the suspect in the dorm shooting was white guy, greasy hair, black pickup truck, farm license - so that’s what they were looking for after the first shooting. Obviously this sounds different from the Asian shooter - but Mark Fuhrman pointed out this info is probably from eyewitnesses - and it may or may not be accurate. Says wait til it all “shakes out.”
Yeah, those can be picked up pretty cheap. Or maybe livejournal guy is just posing with an FFL holders stock of for sale items.
I’ll ignore your insult and blame it on your limited vocabulary.
There would be more than 32 dead tonight if your nutty idea were enacted.
I didn’t mean any disrepect to those involved so thanks for saying that or reading that in my post.
I don’t know anything about the Refuse to be a Victim course. I just have this extreme reaction to the whole victim mentality we seem to encourage in our society: like it’s a good thing to be a victim, or somehow noble, or something we should honor. As I was typing the post in question, I kept thinking about why we don’t fight back more, why we go along with/ follow/teach what experts say about not fighting back. I think if we fought back more, we’d see less of the criminals succeeding. It’s just my opinion and I don’t fault anyone for thinking differently. I’ve been a “victim” of an attempted assault and I fought back, refusing to be a “victim” and I thank heavens for my right to fight back, for being raised by parents who taught me to fight back. I’ve read so many wonderful posts on here and I tend to agree with many who take their own defense as a personal issue, not relying on anyone else to intervene on their behalf, or relying on the government to protect them. The government can’t do it all, we have to do some of it ourselves.
If this was terrorist, was this like the first tower when we just thought it was an accident. We cannot afford to do that again. I am hoping colleges are instituting stronger security measures just in case.

A military base vs. a college campus? Really?
He has an LJ posting history going back before 2004- but the preliminary info suggests the shooter got here less than a year ago.
I don’t think this is the guy, but what a collection of identical rifles with bayonettes!
Moisin-Nagants all, I think.
A wannabe drill instructor?
Definitely not the hall shooter, as LE has the body.
AP, I’ve been worried about you. Sorry that the news is growing worse by the hour. Thanking God that you are okay. May the Lord somehow bring a measure of comfort to those affected by this heinous act.
Or the witnesses heard so many fights between her and her boyfriend they assumed it was him when it was just a random killing. My bet is she was just a diversion to keep the police busy.
Pray for W and Va Tech
I was just trying to suggest other possibilities behind the non-proven assumption/assertion that the shooter "chained" the doors.
We have few to little facts.
Facts are precious to me. Hysteria and hysterical speculation sans the facts makes my skin crawl, especially in such a horrific situation as this.
I can put myself into the shoes of a parent, spouse, offspring, friend - grappling not only with grief; but "why" their loved one was murdered (or injured), and who did it for what reasons. Their suffering is intensified and sent to places where there is no proven, substantive reason to go; this is disrespectful.
Lastly, it just sets these grieving, or injured, people up for the presses to devour based on dubious speculations!
I'll grieve with these people. Give the press no opportunity to ask "fenangling questions" of those grieving and/or worried. I'll give the press little to no ounce of support for herding students and citizens into turning grief and intense pain -- into an anger "political" movement at: the university, the police, etc.
I want to give those involved directly with and/or affected by this situation in Virginia, respect.
Am now assuredly awaiting the liberal phenomena of sending massive quantities of "grief therapists" to the campus. The pressies will help redirect that "grief" into anger at the police and universities.
This is disgusting as well as shameful.
Some quiet patience and a national show of respect for those involved with this situation would go a long ways towards cutting into the liberal agenda of supporting gun bans or demanding more taxpayer dollars for a prison-scale "modeling" of every college campus in the U.S.
These folks being horrifically affected are my neighbors. There isn't a thing I wouldn't do to help them. And that begins with showing some respect, and giving the grieving - time, privacy, and a quiet "national" space in which to cope with losses, before the MSM/Politically-Agenda'd harpies land upon these folks, feasting upon their pain and using their suffering for their own purposes.
i don’t think everyone on a college campus would be able to get a concealed carry permit no matter how liberal the law is; however, if you’re a potential “lone gunman” and you know that 1 in 50 kids in your school are ellgible for concealed carry (whether they do or not) it SHOULD provide some hesitation. then agian, these people are batty to begin with so you gotta figure the way it would help is if one of those 1 in 50 were in the first building and took him out before he could hit the 30 other people.
P.S. are they still not sure whether it was one or 2 gunman????
