I will say “ditto”. Just think...if some of these students/teachers had been armed themselves, the death toll would not be at 33 and possibly rising.

A person would not have to be armed to make a difference. (although it would do the job faster) In every room there is a chemical fire extinguisher. Pull the pin and let it rip it their eyes. When you run out, dent it over their head.

And we get to pay to clean up the mess through subsidities to the Universities? Don't their countries have schools since we are so second-class in intelligence to foreigners?

Our family had a foreign college student from Trinidad stay with us a short time after the physician she lived with moved out of state. She worked under the student work program for school money and she had some type of grants. She lived with us free. If I am not mistaken that is a tax-payer funded program. I learned what they are here for and it is not to exchange ideas. Our experience was that they think we all are rich and owe them something.

Virginia Tech is the largest university in the state of Virginia, with 26,000 students. While there is an on-campus police force, there is no way that they have enough people put armed police immediately on every corner on campus. For big campus-wide events (e.g., football/basketball games), they have to rely heavily on assistance from police forces in neighboring localities. Even in an extreme emergency like today’s, it would take several hours to get enough personnel to campus to implement that kind of security all across the whole campus.

Resident Assistant was what they were called when I went to college (many moons ago.) They were an older student “in charge” of a dorm floor.

The "emotional" freepers say that I want to arm all the students! NOT THE CASE, however, there are ALOT of responsible, Christian, mature 21 year olds that can and should be allowed to practice their God-given and CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS to carry a gun if 1) They are willing, and 2) Have passed all the unconstitutional restrictions that will allow them to defend themselves (and possibly innocent others).

People like Squidboy and Screaming Fist will be praying to God for armed, law abiding citizens to be close to their loved ones when the REAL nutcases start the shooting.
