A young woman has reported that De Anza College baseball players sexually assaulted her at a party months before members of the team were accused of raping another woman at the same house.
"The sheriff's department is aware of the allegation and will look into it," said Sgt. Ed Wise of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department, adding that deputies take rape allegations seriously.
The fact that the allegations involve the same house is "frightening," Wise said.
Sources close to the investigation say the woman came forward with claims she was raped in December only after sheriff's deputies began checking a 17-year-old girl's report that she was assaulted at the house in unincorporated San Jose in March. Investigators said Monday that they first heard rumors about the December party with the players and the woman, who was 18 to 21 years old, during interviews while following up on the March case.
It was unclear Monday whether the same group of men are involved in both reports. Wise said the two incidents potentially share some of the same suspects.
Nobody has been charged in connection with the allegations.

Testosterone + alcohol = rocket fuel. Having said that, these wouldn't be the first minors to cry rape when they stayed out past curfew.

College girls can be pretty stupid too. They do things like have sex with someone, then regret it, then report it to the police as rape, so they can save face with their friends.

Years ago, I lived in the same upscale apartment complex in which DeAnza (a Junior College without dorms) housed their football players. They were not good boys.

Good idea to wait a little and see how much there is there. I noticed that the Mercury just lowered the Sunday paper price to $1. They’re confronting their mortality.
De Anza is a community college, most kids that attend community colleges live at home, since the college is in their own community, don’t they? Or do community colleges now recruit athletes?
Jeez, the first girl was a high school student, who was taken to the hospital after the party. The party wasn’t a team party, but at the house where two players lived, eight members of the team were at the party, as well as students from the general student population (and probably a few non-students, as well). All eight were suspended and the team’s games cancelled for this week, as well as practices, even though only eight members were present.
I suspect this is a LOT more common with “Thugball” players, than with Lacrosse players....
It probably doesn’t make much difference in the age of players either — high school, college or professional level..
Thugball has earned a pretty shabby reputation the hard war — they worked on it.
Any female attending a Thugball event or party without a “bodyguard” probably doesn’t have an I.Q. above room temperature....

Well, yes..., but it’s not considered stupid, by that “crowd” — the 13-18 year-old crowd and what’s going on with the young and later teens these days. This *is* the “culture” that is being inculcated from even the age of 13 years old, in school.

It’s a really sorry state of affairs for our up and coming generation, to see them getting so perverted and thinking it’s not anything other than having some fun. They’re actually “preying” on one another. The biggest predators for the young teens — are the young teens themselves...
