Around 1980 my Dad showed me a book someone gave him as a crank gift, its title was 'Everything I know about Women' and every page was blank.
I had to laugh because it was so true for me also. I know nothing about 'them' although a few have come into the sphere of my life here and there during my journey into the unknown.
My POV is from the place of a 52 never married bach.
The torment I suffered at the hands of Women is way to intiimate for this forum, but for some reason I still love them (as I kneel down at my mothers grave when she died so young at 42 from cancer)
No, just Pukin. P-U-K-I-N.
Invectives are all that are left for those who have nothing meaningful or insightful to say. There are no gay Pukin Dogs.
For one thing...the woman you describe as ‘hanging on to their men like grim death’ are spinless weak unhappy women. Hardly an attractive trait....or one I’d like to be like. Ick. I could tear your whole post apart...but I think you speak from bitterness......and actually know better.
I'm more efficient at getting my point across
'Chick' is simply a term I grew up with to generically refer to a female, in the same manner that 'dude' referred to a male. Sorry you seem to attatch so much negativity to a term that at least for Me brings back many fond memories of lovely lasses in days gone by. :o;
So should the term 'dude' now also be deemed an affront to males by your criteria then?
News flash
Pamela, Twiggy, it doesn't matter. Every one is new and different :)
A guy calling Me that, however, I bloody well would take offense to -for obvious reasons. *grin*
I mean, get real!
Sure you can. You just need to have separate bathrooms.
Have you ever watched the show The Unit? Good story lines and some breathtaking scenes!lol
At first, little girls were germs on the playground and tattletales. Then they became, “Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice”. As the years went by, they became the target of my desires, they were all challenge and conquests.
But then, they became what my grandfather had told me they were, “all precious ladies”. He told me to treat all women as ladies. To this day, I still try to be the one that opens the door and I greet every lady with a smile and a gentle nod. Some would see me as a flirt. Perhaps I am it bit, but I love ladies and I love to make them laugh, smile and just plain feel good. I often will go out of my way to tell a lady that I am not flirting, but that she makes the dress she is wearing very attractive. I figure, I might be the only none threatening moment in her day and a moment that made her feel good about herself.
Then I met this gal and she became everything to me. It was as though, someone had stolen my world but given me heaven on earth. She was my best friend, she was the fun in my life, she was my purpose, my playmate, my queen, my most comforting of souls, and she became “my absolutely everything”. From camping in a tent, SCUBA diving, hunting, fishing, trips all over the country, my passion for riding Harleys, my passion for the sea, raising cattle, riding horses, landscaping, growing vegetable gardens, enjoyment of flowers, my careers, my businesses, there has been nothing in my world were that great and beautiful woman has been by my side in and in many cases, my driving force.
She became my soul-mate, “my every fantasy”. She was like my mom when was in wonderment and a nurse when I was sick. She allowed me to be all of those things for her and even more, much more. She let me be her protector, her best pal...... her man. She allowed me to take her hand in marriage and that was over 35 years ago.
“She is my everything”, she is why my heart bothers to take it’s next beat and why my lunges fill for air. She helped me find reason for life and she gave me 2 wonderful children, a daughter and then a son. She is why we became a family. Although I may have become successful in working life without her, she is why I am HAPPY about any successes I have been blessed with.
To this day, when I look at her, I am filled with pride and humbled at the thought of this beautiful gift. All I see is that 20 year old girl that didn’t seem the least bit interested in me when we first met. I see her youth, and I see all the wonderful memories we have created together.
I remember the tough times when we didn’t have much to eat, but the good times have outshined them all. I see her as a gift from God...... to give my life purpose.
Perhaps you can tell, but I couldn’t be a happier guy with this strange creature we call woman............ and I can’t imagine a life without the one that I found..........
My wife wanted me to fill in my blank pages but I didn’t agree with anything she said.
And there you have it! But some people today look for the one that is the most HOT! Not long a go here on freerepublic they were talking about a woman who up and left her husband after so many years, and all they could talk about was the womans weight and her being an older woman. And of course the point was made that the husband would have no problem hooking up with a much hotter and YOUNGER woman. I did not agree with what the woman did,in leaving her husband, but the comments about her were just mean spirited. Our cultural in this country is so messed up. And I am saddened to see the direction this generation is going.
Well darn, I used the wrong word at least once and dropped a couple, but that’s what I get when leading with my heart on the keyboard. Oh well...modify at will.
Great post. I wish everyone could have that experience. I have a wonderful marriage myself. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that there are some here that have never seen the true beauty of a strong, loving, relationship. Continued happiness to you and your family. :)
Thank you, and to yours as well.
Don’t worry. You get major kudos for content. I’m blessed enough to be in a very happy marriage too.
:)
