Rudy's Bizarre Behavior (Unbelievable)

Rudy Giuliani has a lot to learn about campaigning outside of New York City.
The former New York mayor attended a roundtable discussion with heavy-hitters at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City recently. Two of the three co-hosts were natural gas billionaires who are CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.
Mayor Giuliani was doing fine until one CEO asked him what his energy policy was, a participant said. He gave a very detailed and lengthy answer covering every energy source imaginable, but he never once uttered the words natural gas. Considering where he was, who he was talking to, and who was sponsoring the fundraiser, it was very insulting and showed a lack of preparation.
Another participant started to ask a question about Iraq.
In the middle of the question, Mayor Giulianis personal cell phone rang, and he answered it, the participant said. At first, I think people thought he was kidding. But then he just started talking; and without looking up or saying anything to us, he just got up, left the room, and never came back! Everyone waited about 20 minutes, and then the room started to break up. It was bizarre behavior.
A Giuliani spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.

Don’t be surprized to see more interviews sandbagged by Rudy’s handlers with ominous phone call interruptions when Rudy botches debates and discussions.
It’s not good for Rudy’s image for him to look incompetent.

Who the heck could be on the other end of the line that would prompt anyone to do this?He was trying to talk one of his campaign staffers off a window ledge?

The fact that it rang surprises me. Guys like him usually have it on “vibrate” and call their own number repeatedly.

His handlers were listening. When it got to a question they didn’t want him to answer, they Pinged him.
That’s why he didn’t come back. Important phone call, y’know?

Anonymous source in Newsmax.
Not a Guiliani supporter, but I do think stories like this are nothing but gossip.

"Its not good for Rudys image for him to look incompetent."Not much better for his image or his coffers to pi$$ off a bunch of billionaires and expose his arrogance by not only taking phone call, but leaving a group of listeners at their tables?

FWIW, a quick GOOGLE does confirm that he spoke at a private find raiser in Oklahoma City on 3/29: "Giuliani attended a private fund-raiser where supporters paid 23-hundred-dollars to attend a reception and photo opportunity and 500-dollars to attend a cocktail party."

Maybe it was Kerik, describing an envelope of pictures. (just a guess)

I’m no Rudy-man, but as “bizarre behavior” this seems like so much unpassed gas.
