Missing In Action Since The Gathering Of Eagles Rally and Counter Protest
Today | me

Posted on 04/06/2007 3:04:51 PM PDT by tgslTakoma

The Gathering of Eagles rally and follow-up counter protest of the Moonbats' surrender parade was such a huge success that an item very near and dear to the DC Chapter members' hearts was lost that day.

As the rally was winding down, I was handing out MOABs (each was disassembled and packed in a drawstring bag) to Freepers who offered to carry them over to the Lincoln Memorial for use as the Moonbat parade marched by. I also handed out the bags holding our many 3' x 5' flags, so that the Moonbats would be met with a sea of US flags and flags of our allies as they passed through our gauntlet at the Lincoln Memorial and the Memorial Bridge.

All of the flags, save for one POW-MIA flag made it back to me at the end of the day. And all of the MOABs, save for one, did as well. I had a new POW-MIA flag in reserve for when the old one was worn out, so that loss was easily overcome, and I know it went home with a patriot who stood with us that day. But I did not have a spare MOAB to replace the one that went missing on March 17th.

I am hoping that a Freeper picked up the bag and carried it home that day, maybe not even knowing what was in the lawn chair bag they were carrying. If you happened to pick it up that day, please let me know. I'm sure that if it went home with a Freeper or an Eagle that it's safe, but the DC Chapter would like to be able to use it at Freep events in the future; and when it's no longer needed by us - we were planning to donate it to the Rush Limbaugh Wing of the Museum of Broadcasting.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who participated in the Gathering of Eagles I. It was a beautiful day... Eagles everywhere.

The Moonbats are still smarting over the spanking they got that day.

Others are thinking it, so I’ll ask: What the heck is a MOAB?

Hopefully the weather will be warmer, and drier, and our MOAB miraculously returns.

It was an incredible day. There was so much going on, and in so many different locations, I couldn’t get to all of them. I missed the fun that the Trooprallys, BufordP, Plea Deal, Taco Mamma, Cindy True Supporter, TFroatz, Tom the Redhunter, Nauti Nurse, Bmwcyle, Apple Blossom, Nick Danger and a bunch of others had with the Moonbats over on the Virginia side of the bridge with the other MOAB. We brought five MOABs with us that day but only two (maybe three) were deployed. Oh well. Four made it back to the bunker safe and sound.

Sorry about not answering this sooner. We call our huge banners "MOABs" for "Mother Of All Banners."

Back from Walter Reed.

Thank you for your two years of hard work at Walter Reed. Now the important question....Have you thawed out yet?

So glad it was successful. I’m just disappointed that the media didn’t cover the good guys more. It’s so unAmerican to not cover PATRIOTISM.

Thanks for sharing the good news. Go MOABs!

great Republic!
We’re looking forward to meeting many Freepers and Eagles that we missed on March 17th.
See yall on Friday night at WRMC May 25th!

It wasn’t as cold as I thought it would be. I packed my boots into the truck (with dried-on GOE mud still on them), but never needed them. I guess the ground was still warm from the past week of nice weather. I hear that we are supposed to get snow overnight, but I’m skeptical of that forecast.
